Superb art and storytelling.
An excellent story with truly superb art reminiscent of the older Savage Sword of Conan publishings. Truly a fun read!

Titan comics Conan book 1
I read a couple of Howard's stories back in the day, but have never read any of the comics. After I heard that someone other than Marvel had acquired the license I decided to give Conan a look. I'm happy I did. The story is set early in Conan's adventure so no feeling like your missing anything for new readers. The story itself is a standard undead army story, but a well executed one. Conan and his female companion have a straight forward objective and they don't waist anytime in completing it.Well, they do make a stop to bang, but just the once. The real highlight of the book is the art. It's brutal and beautiful. Conan and the rest of the cast look great. The fight scenes are clear and you can tell the difference between a fight were Conan is mowing down his enemies and one were he's struggling. All in all this felt like a great jumping off point for a new reader. I enjoyed it so much I ordered a copy of the new Savage Sword of Conan monthly.

Brings back memories.
I'm a big fan of John Buscema's Conan style of the 70's, 80's & 90's. So, seeing a modern day artist copy his style for new stories is like finding an actor, today, who looks just like a young Sean Connery to do more 007 movies. The story arc is okay. Hoping the stories will get better, but I bought it for the art.

Great reading
Always loved the CONAN comics of Marvel with John Buscema's art , these 4 stories in this book with artist Rob de la Torres really kept that classic feel. ..Jim Zub writes some super great stories as well, by Crom...

Great start!
This Trade Paperback collects the free comic book day issue and issues 1-4 of the new Conan series by Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures. Awesome start to the series. The artwork is on point and the story was a captivating sword and sorcery fest. Brule even makes an appearance! Excellent!

Finally! A good Conan comic again.
This is so much better that the cartoonish, anime/manga style art/stories that Ablaze is trying to pass off as Conan. Conan should only be told by artists that have the capability to present raw power on the page and De La Torre fits the bill.He and Zub make a great Conan artist/writer combo.

Conan's return to form
I was picking up Savage Sword of Conan back in its heyday, & always thought that his barbarity lost a step or two under the Marvel umbrella. Don't get me wrong, there were still some great stories (several written by Jim Zub, who's back in the saddle for this latest series) but it seemed a little watered down. Conan is bloody. Conan is ruthless. Conan likes to... party. A lot of that was missing, until Titan Comics took things under their wing, brought Zub along for the ride, & landed Roberto De La Torre as the artist. These are the stories that fit right into the times before the oceans drank Atlantis and the Sons of Aryas walked the earth.

Conan is cool again.
It looks like sweet Conan story, and the paperback has classic look to it . Which takes me back to my childhood , when I collected Marvel’s Conan the Barbaran . Which that is what remindes me of . 👍

Back to brutality
Love the action the brutality, the arts type decent story, I wven like the harsher language that is not bleeped out as it fits the character perfectly and i like the hints of the main characters ancestors I would have given this book 4.5 stars simply as ot us so fast-paced that almost to the point of being rushed. I wish the main story was spread over five issues/chapters, but that could just me doing greed for wanting more. The books start from Conan's first real battle. Defending Cimmeria with his fellow Cimmerians against ovetwhealming odds. Then Conan is back to his brutal best. Plying his trade. He might be a mercenary, but he is not to be taken advantage of and NEVER to be crossed. However, the undead have no fear, and the number advantage can even Conan and his new ally overcome these odds? This book reminds me of when Dark Horse took over the comic franchise and made Conan the top comic book. This is back to that feel if they can keep this up, I sm happy. I also like the continuity of the Howardverse, being pushed. The book finishes with a nod to the character and, of course, his creator, a sketch book with character designs, and a thumbnail variant cover gallery of all the covers.

Titan comics Conan is excellent!
I'm a massive Conan fan and Titan comics are doing all the great Conan artists and writers of the past proud. You can tell this is a project made with love and respect to All the greats who came before. The artistic homages are intricate and obvious. The writing is fresh and nostalgic at the same time, which makes it great. When Jim Zuub is involved I safely assume it's always going to be great but this went beyond my normal expectations. Titan Comics are keeping Conan alive and barbaric as ever.
