PolycomVVX 411 Skype for Business Edition (2200-48450-019), Black

If you are using Skype for Business Online (Cloud PBX) with "modern authentication" you will need to upgrade the phone software to v5.5.1+.Polycom will not provide any service to end users.

I have setup hundreds of VOIP phones over the last few years and the experience is usually pretty simple in nature. This phone has more complication than is probably necessary due to the Skype for Business hooks, but it's not so complex that the setup can't be done in a few minutes. One thing to note is that the Skype for Business features can't be used unless your subscription includes phone service. That may seem obvious in hindsight, but it's not written anywhere and there's no technical reason SFB features other than phone service should be disallowed.The handset arrived DOA. I wish I could leave the seller negative feedback at this point because there have been zero steps taken to provide assistance and Polycom is useless in terms of support. This is unfortunately more common with Polycom phones than I would like, but most other phone vendors produce junk, so the alternative options are sparse at best.

There is no mention that the Polycom phone is used. It has a password set by another owner and has been provisioned. The only thing this phone can be used for is a paper weight. Returning for credit. Deceptive advertising.

I have a statement issued in 2018 that the VVX411 is included in phones that will support Microsoft Teams. However, they issued updated statements in 2019 stating this model will not support Native Teams and will stop functioning when Microsoft discontinues the Skype for Business login. I had not seen the new communication prior to purchasing this phone.

Product is garbage. Smoke started coming out of the headset. Both Products make crazy sounds out of the headphones. Once we saw smoke come out of it we had to unplug it for fear of our office setting on fire.
