I have a very simlar one. older model. same shape. commercial unit. brilliant. easy to config. v good range. to end of garden and all around the house. recommended.

Arrived on time, very solid, clearly a more commercial unit. Repeater works well and manages to get a wifi signal through 2 thick stone walls....for my Dell laptop although all Apple products fail to connect, that's simply the poor Apple quality though I am sure. I am not a technical person, but an it friend is and neither of us could set the security measures - this seems to be a common theme for this product. So we now have an unsecured network available to anyone, and while this isn't the end of the world to us as we are in the middle of rural France with no-one else nearby,I would imagine for someone living nearer to neighbours this could be a problem. We have searched help forums and all the IT friends I can think of and no-one has been able to set them - so do beware on that, it is NOT secure. Apart form that, it is fine.

In the product specifications where it lists what is included in the box it says a separate power supply is included. When you open the box and read the instructions it says that separate power is no longer needed since it runs on power-over-ethernet. Obviously you will need a PoE injector to makes this work but, more signifiantly, you cannot change the settings (from shipped as unsecured repeater named dlink) without using a separate power supply to power the device while you use it's only ethernet port to change the settings. As an unsecured repeater called dlink, it runs beautifully but you can't change it without a separate power supply for the set-up phase so I would say this item is inaccurately described.

Ich habe einen AP für den Einsatz im privaten Einfamilienhaus gesucht. Bisher hatte ich einen kombinierten DSL-Router und WLAN-AP im Einsatz, der aber so alt war, dass sich neuere Smartphones nicht immer verbinden konnten. Nachdem ich kein Ersatzgerät der gleichen Kategorie (Consumer-Bereich) gefunden habe, bei dem nicht entsprechend viele Rezensionen von unterschiedlichen Problemen berichtet haben, habe ich mich entschlossen etwas mehr Geld anzulegen. Da ich inzwischen im Keller eine Fritzbox für den DSL-Anschluss habe (deren WLAN nicht im ganzen Haus zu empfangen ist), bin ich bei den dedizierten APs mit diesem Gerät fündig geworden. Die Einrichtung ist für einen einigermaßen geübten Laien, dem die Grundlagen des WLAN bekannt sind, unproblematisch machbar. Wenn man gar nichts davon versteht sollte man sich Hilfe holen. die MAC-Adressen für den Zugangsfilter lassen sich exportieren und importieren, was bei der Umstellung von einem anderen Gerät sehr hilfreich ist (man kann die Datei auf dem Rechner vervollständigen und dann hochladen). Das Gerät macht einen robusten Eindruck mit seinem Metallgehäuse und ist im weißen Hausflur aufgrund der weißen Farbe unauffällig. Da ich wegen Abdeckung des ganzen Hauses (3 Etagen plus Keller) zur Montage eine Stelle im Hausflur gewählt habe, die nicht in Nähe einer Steckdose ist, betreibe ich das Gerät über PoE (Power over Ethernet). Ich verwende den Injector TP-Link TL-PoE150S. Erwartungsgemäß gibt es auch hier keine Probleme. Zur Übertragungsqualität: Das Gerät kommt mit allen unseren Clients problemlos klar. Dabei setzen wir hier wirklich so ziemlich alles ein: nagelneue und auch schon recht alte Smartphones, einen älteren Laptop, aber auch aktuelle Rechner. Nach einigen Wochen betriebszeit lassen sich keinerlei Probleme feststellen. Die Verbindung arbeitet generell mit der höchst möglichen Übertragungsrate, die der Client kann. Auch durch 2 Betondecken (im Keller) ist noch Empfang da, zwar mit geringer Leistung, aber noch unterbrechungsfrei. Resümee: Sehr empfehlenswertes Geräte bisher, also 5 Punkte (Stand 16.12.14). Hoffe das bleibt auch so ;-)

Bon produit, envoi rapide et soigné, conforme à la description. Fourni avec son manuel complet en français et son kit de fixation mural. L'interupteur sur le câble d'alimentation est très pratique.
