Good book to have

Would be great to have an appendix on European woods to supplement the US data.

I have been making bows for over 30 years and own many books on the subject. This is one of the best I have read as it is written from the heart, from knowledge and experience. It has nothing superfluous. And has been written with the intent of sharing the joy of the art. I've moved on to making bows with multiple laminations, with more modern materials and latterly with complex reflex reflex designs. But my heart is with simple self bows and Clay's book reminds me that that is all you need. And also that the making of self bows brings unique pleasures not to be had with the more formulaic process of making more modern equipment.

This is a great beginners guide for venturing into bowyering. Anything by clay Hayes will be a good option, he’s skilled in the craft and is a seasoned bow hunter.

The author really seems to love his subject. Very interesting read. I hope to apply his techniques

Als Hobby-Bogenbauer mit Erfahrung kann ich dieses Buch wirklich sehr empfehlen. Na ja, gelegentlich muss man mal eine Vokabel nachsehen, aber das macht nichts!

Spiega gli argomenti in maniera semplice e chiara.Se vogliamo trovare un punto a sfavore nel libro, direi le foto sarebbero state meglio a colori! Ma nel complesso libro utile e ben scritto! Se letto e unito ai video di Clay su YouTube e di molto aiuto
