Fit perfectly and arrived without any damage. Has been incredibly useful for mounting accessories to my r8 with its solid build and several threaded holes making it easy to attach almost anything.

I’ve owned a few cages (for different cameras) and I like this one the best.Slides right onto my Canon R8, not too tight and not too loose. The included tool on the bottom is fantastic and sturdy. Installation was a breeze.Price is average or not much above. But it seems durable and well constructed. I like both how it looks and how they’ve laid out mounting options.

This cage is very well-made and is super sturdy. You can tell that small rig put a lot of thought into this design. It attaches in three spots on the camera to ensure that the cage does not wiggle around. It has lots of places on it where you can mount additional accessories. My favorite thing about this is that on the bottom there is a little multi tool that you slide in and it secured with strong magnets. This multitool helps you attach the cage to the camera. This is a very cool addition because usually when you get stuff like this, you always lose the multi tool and then have to buy another one. It fits perfect, and it doesn’t wiggle at all. Overall this is definitely a five stare product.

In addition to providing security to the camera, it provides great versatility in accessories that can be adapted, the only thing that would change it is that the shoe of the cage was straight instead of inclined but I guess it is something of design.

You have to screw in both sides of the cage with the supplied wrench and it will fit in the strap loop of the bony itself, making the cage a much secure 3 point fix array, plenty of 1/4 holes for accesories and a cold shoe, you cant ask for any better cage

If this was going to be a 5 star product there will need to be some changes made to the design of this. I use my R8 handheld and sometimes in a DJI RS3 gimbal. The direction that you must slide the frame into the DJI mount is backwards for the design of the RS3 gimbal, it forces you to remove the lower tilt arm just to slide the camera into the mount using the Arca swiss bottom of this cage, it is also too thick for the locking lever to completely close on the gimbal which may reduce your space to slide the camera all the way back to balance. I also use the R8 for streaming coaching sessions, where I use a dummy battery to keep constant power to the camera, the same issue would exist if you powered your rig with a v-mount battery, there is no room for the cable to exit the battery compartment and close all the way with frame on. Last gripe is that it is very difficult to reach the battery door with the frame on which sucks for use in all scenarios. Small-rig, you need to actually use the frame on the camera in the design process, this would be a fairly simple fix if there was a design change made to the lower right hand side of the frame to make room for better access to the battery compartment. Unfortunately I think I need to return this as it is more of pain to use my camera with this cage on it. I love your products but this one needs to go back to the drawing board.

Not gonna add any photos be What I will say is this fit is really good and clean. I especially like the clearance the cage gives to work the flip out screen when not using the side areas for handles or whatever. I usually just leave the cage on when shooting stills so it is nice when I am able to use and manipulate the screen. It comes with the small tool that slides neatly and securely on the bottom to tighten the tripod screw and adjust the small screw stops. This is a smallRig so all my accessories for my other rigs fit onto it, especially all the accessory pieces like the NATO handle and rails that I prefer. Lastly, I prefer the "classic" set-up of these cages rather than the newer Black Mamba cages which look cooler, but I find the tolerances too tight around the camera. I would rather have some clearance for my camera skins than it be really tight and rub on the camera. Again, if you are looking at this versus another generic comapny, I always go with the SmallRig, the quality and thoughtful engineering is worth it!
