It’s perfect for musical kids
My daughter is into cello because she has two lessons a week. She loved Long, Long ago and when she played it she sounded amazing.

Alright
Source of solo pieces not a tutorial. Good dynamics and techniques required and it gets progressively harder. I did hear on you tube that I contains 'must know pieces' but I find some of them prissy and annoying but other than that it is a good book.

Quailty learning material
As a adult trying to return to playing the cello, I have found this book to be very good. I haven't had the first book in the series but expect it is of the same quality.

Great book even for adult learners
As a 30-something trying to learn Cello, this is a really good series of books and not too kiddy in it's approach. I need to get the CD's that accompany this, but my Cello teacher uses these books for all my teaching at the moment.

Does the job
Like the selection of music, easy on the ears when you know the piece and can help your child "adjust" a wrong note - simply because you know its a wrong note!

Perfect
As an adult learning the cello, these books have the best beginner music, pushing you at just the right level!
