I have a very anxious dog who is fearful of many things. He is a rescue dog and who knows what his history was - if he was abused or simply not socialized. Anything new is a source of anxiety for him. So introducing new gear is often a chore. I have tried many no-pull products. A Gentle Leader harness had been introduced to him by his foster family, so he wasn't afraid of that. But the nose strap bothered him so much, so I decided to find something different. Next up I tried a no-pull halter. The problem with that was the sound of the snapping clasp. He would shake with fear that it was problematic, and desensitizing him to it would take too much time.I searched for a long time to find some kind of harness that was one-piece and wouldn't have any snapping clasps to scare him. That's when I came across this harness and decided to give it a try. It arrived today and we took it out on our daily 3 mile walk. Cozmo has never been a huge puller, but even a little tug by a 56 lb. muscular Am Staff can be a problem in the winter on snow and ice. I didn't notice an immediate stop to pulling, but it was reduced by half I would guess. Enough to make the benefit of a one-piece halter with no snapping clasp worthwhile, and a fair trade-off to a complete stoppage of the pulling.If you are looking for a no-pull solution, this may not do the trick. But it certainly seems to be a vastly superior product in terms of its comfort for the dog, and it does provide a certain degree of no-pull effect. If you need a one-piece harness with no clasps or fasteners, then I HIGHLY recommend this product.One note in response to many other reviews about this harness being difficult to put on your dog -- I got the harness on with no problems after looking at their diagram. The parts of the harness come with tags so you can match the harness part to the diagram when using it for the first time. If you are a person that has trouble with "spatial reasoning" (in other words, manipulating an object in your mind, turning it this way and that to reorient it), you might have trouble initially. Once you understand the mechanics of how this harness works, it should be simple to understand.

These are the only harnesses I will ever buy for a dog. They assist with easy control without cutting into their skin. So light they can wear them all day, so sturdy you don't lose your dog. Fully adjustable for a perfect fit.

This is my favorite dog harness. I recently bought a second one for my bigger dog but have had the smaller one for over 20 years and it still works well and is in good condition after all this time. I like how you can adjust it and when you use the lock they can’t back out of it which keeps them safe. And it’s a gentle way to lead your dog by not putting strain on the neck while walking. Especially important when starting a young dog who pulls a lot.

This harness is fantastic. I have a large 95 lb shepherd/doberman mix, a 50 lb rotty/beagle mix, and a 60 lb shepherd/pit mix. We could not take all 3 dogs for walks before these because they pulled so hard and I didn't feel I had good control over them. It was a safety concern. Now, we can walk all of them at once and no one has to be left out! The harness is so simple to put on, it's lightweight, it doesn't rub or chafe my pittie girl like the regular harnesses do, especially in the summer. I am very pleased! And the price was very reasonable!

this is a nice harness but challenging to get on as infrequently as we use it. It has worked well as our puppy has grown.

Have used these for years with many dogs we rescue - and my own dogs. Simple to use. Prevents dog from pulling. Doesn’t irritate delicate underarm skin. Easy on/off. Cool in summer. Dogs can’t slide out if these backwards like they can collars.
