we use them on our well pump. WE live in a sandy area so we go through filters once a month. This package is well with it!

If I could score this lower than a one star rating, I would! I bought a 6 pack of these and regret it because to me, they're unusable. It states on the individual filter wrap to "Rinse for at least 5 minutes before using" which is a first for me because I don't remember ever seeing that on a filter cartridge. Anyway, I thought I'd soak it in clean water for awhile before I rinsed it but it wouldn't sink! It never would soak with water. It's like some kind of floatation device! I took a small pot and held it under water for an hour and came back to find it sheeted the water right off when I lifted it from the water and was like I just got it out of the wrapper! I rinsed it for 10 minutes, installed it, and now the water tasted like chemicals and just overall weird. When I run hot water, it really smells like chemicals. Terrible product! I'll never buy again. 26 dollars wasted because I drug my feet and found that I was just 2 days beyond the 30 day refund date. Don't waste your money or time with these!
