A Good Story
Arden is returning to Chicago, wanting to take charge of her life. She moves in to an apartment that is owned by her brother. Her brother's best friend, Tyler, is still working on the apartment and when they meet there is an attraction between them. However, both are carrying baggage from earlier in their lives and this threatens to get in the way of anything happening between Arden and Tyler. The ups and downs in the friendship between the two made for interesting reading. Overall, it was a very good story.

Uplifting and romantic read
I received an early review copy from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review and all thoughts are freely given and unbiased.I haven't read anything by this author but I will definitely read more, this was an easy going , page Turner and you get caught up in the storyline right away. Arden is widowed and has had to move in with her brother Jamie, after she found out she was penniless after her husband's death. The apartment she lives in his building is being renovated by his best friend Tyler , who's had a crush on Arden since high school .The two reconnect and their chemistry sizzles as their mutual attraction deepens to love. The supporting characters are well defined and you get caught up in the banter with the friends. Mila , is Jamie's best friend and you get the feeling they might get a story of their own soon.I really enjoyed this book and would thoroughly recommend it.

A 'cracker' of a story.
Firecracker by Kelly Jamieson is a sweet and warm-hearted romance, a ‘my brother’s best friend’ and ‘bro-code’ mixed into one.Arden is on the edge when she meets up with Tyler again. He’s her younger brother’s best friend and not the guy she’d ever have looked at twice. Not while she was married anyway, but she’s a lonely and devastated widow now and things have changed. The truth behind her husband’s death had me wanting to wrap her up in my arms. She’s harboring some deep-seated pain and feelings of guilt over what happened. She has a tendency to push those closest to her away in an effort to not feel.Tyler was soo sweet. He’s been crushing on Arden since they were both teenagers and now that she’s on her own, and he is too, he’s going to go for it. He’s a firefighter and lives next door to Arden. He’s always willing to help those in need, but knows when to step back too.The chemistry and attraction between them was well developed but the group as a whole had a greater dynamic. I’m looking forward to more stories from the other tenants in this building.

An absorbing romance.
Firecracker was a really enjoyable story. That quickly pulled me in, thanks to a whole group of charismatic and absorbing characters, especially the main two Arden and Tyler. Whose romance was not only well-developed, but full of charm, sweetness and heat. And with minimal angst, some push-pull not to mention moments of miscommunication and misunderstanding, I was completely engaged, and connected enough with the characters and their individual friendships to want to keep reading more about them. Thus, I would happily recommend Firecracker to others. As it genuinely was an absorbing, well-rounded story with a great romance to boot.**I was kindly provided with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

Honest arc review
Arden is trying to get her life back on track after the death of her husband but with no money she has to move in to her brothers apartment building.Tyler has always had a crush on Arden and now he’s no longer a geeky teenager but the hot firefighter next door Maybe he’ll get his chance with Arden. This was an easy read that I enjoyed.Good characters and I liked them all.A great group of friends that have each others backs and a lot of good banter between them.Looking forward to seeing if the other characters in this lovely group of friends will find love.

Five Star read.
This author and book are a first for me and I'm glad I read this book.I really enjoyed reading this story and felt like I couldn't put it down.Arden has been going through a really tough time at the moment and she's felt quite alone especially being away from her family. She used to be married to a famous professional footballer, however tragedy struck and he committed suicide. Arden hadn't realised any of what had been going on with her then husband in his mind or his life.Arden has always felt terribly guilty for not seeing it sooner and the heartbreak has affected her. After the funeral and things got dealt with Ardens millionaire brother Jamie had offered her a place to stay while she sorted herself out, she takes him up on the chance.Tyler comes into her life and everything changes. They have a very strong connection, powerful chemistry and they both feel the magnetic pull. Tyler is a fireman who has also had his share of tragedy. ( without giving away too much of the story).Arden doesn't want to take any more help from anyone and no other hand outs, it's extremely important to her that she does this herself. She desperately needed her family to believe in her.Tyler did help Arden become the person she wanted to be and to live the best life she could. This book was well written and I loved reading this story and I loved these characters and there over protectiveness. I feel the author writes them brilliantly, there powerful in there own and I enjoyed watching them become who they were meant to. They had strength and courage.I feel that the author was extremely good at helping you to visualise a setting of the story. There was some tragedy in the story and some heart breaking moments that had my emotions on a little rollercoaster.I would like to read more from this author in the future because I enjoyed this book well, and I look forward to seeing what this author writes in the future.Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.ARC provided in exchange for an honest review. This book is Now Live.
