Great bang for the buck
My first HDD was DOA. It spun up but Win 11 did not recognize it & Win 11 would not boot. The seller sent me a prepaid return label. I got a replacement HDD a few days later. It helped that the seller was only around 50 miles away, so shipping times were rapid. The "new" refurbished HDD works great thus far a week into its use. Like many drives, its capacity is overstated. The HDD is 14.5 "real" terabytes, which is 16,000,881,782 bytes as reported by Windows. But this over-reported capacity game is done by most if not all HDD manufacturers. What I really appreciate is the 5 year warranty for an inexpensive HDD>

Solid drives, stayed relatively cool during testing
The two drives that I ordered arrived well packed and were delivered a couple days early. Initial SMART data showed they have never been used. Indeed they came with a card and invoice both stating a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase.I've had these for less than a week, but no SMART issues after using.badblocks -wsv -b8192...and letting it write the entire 16TB to the drives once. I then loaded them with some archival backups (that will be periodically updated) with no issues.Badblocks had an average write speed of about 229MB/s for one and 220MB/s for the other. These appear to be rebranded out of spec EXOS drives and work fine in a ventilated external enclosure with an ASMEDIA USB 3.1 chipset which allows Linux to read the SMART data. The drives did reach 109F, which feels warm to the touch but not hot. This is actually pretty good considering they were being written to at full speed for 18 hours straight, and the room was around 78F. They were however on top of a laptop cooler pushing some airflow through the vents in the external enclosures. If I need more, these seem to be a great value and I'd buy them again.

Skeptical at first, but so far so good !
Like most people looking a this drive i felt a bit uneasy purchasing from a new retailer for an almost bargain basement price, but with HDD prices so high no i way i was paying almost double for the same thing so i took the plunge and bought three for my ZFS home NAS setup. The data is backed up so i could take the chance plus 5 year warranty was reassuring. Here's my initial observations1) You can tell these are SEAGATE EXOS just from the profile and how the drives look , there's only three HDD FABS in the world ( Seagate , Western Digitial , and Toshiba ) so these are possibly bought bulk and re-labeled , im cool with that if i can ultimately save money !2) Upon unboxing, there were some visible scratches where the label was no big deal , these are sold as "new" which could be true or could not be who knows, but hey at least there's 5 year warranty!3) Even though this came in a static bag , there was a small piece of Styrofoam in the drive port that didnt look like it belonged there4) being the nerd i am i used bad sector test before putting data on it and all three turned out clean5) Firmware in SMART shows as generic so these are certainly re flashed custom firmware. SMART seems to work fine and report the usual interesting attributes such as temp, relocated sectors, errors etc.6) I did not experience any loud noise like rain as some other users did7) the drives are fairly fast, they show up as 14.6TB usable and SATA 6.0 i was able to bench 250+ MB/sIll keep testing but so far i am a happy camper. No reason at this point to give less than five stars, and i let them burn in for a bit and purchase more, so far so very happy!

Good but .. same as the other one i bought renewed
So far so good. Using with an external docking station. formatted using APFS and the other one as NTFS and no problems.Be careful with ExFAT and mac M3. I'm not saying it will happen with you but it happened to me 2 times already. So that's why I feel obligated to mention that when I formatted using ExFAT and used it on my Macbook Pro M3 Max from the hdd docking station with the usb-c cable, several errors came up after a few days of using it (copying large files and folders) and the drive became un-writable. Thankfully it is still readable, So I copied the files to another drive and formatted using APFS and had no problems. NTFS also seem to be a good choice when I am using my windows computer, you just have to buy an app called NTFS for Mac if you want to use it on mac.

100 PERCENT REFURBISHED - BEWARE
Although not stated ANYWHERE in the product page, these are 100% refurbished drives. That's fine, look at the price, but that HAS to be included in the info, ideally in the title of the product. They even went so far as to place "Warranty void if removed" stickers OVER the required manufacturer recertified etching. (after they tried to use a marker to black it out lol). Inexcusable and wildly deceptive. Also both the drives I ordered failed within 3 weeks and had to return them to Amazon, didn't even bother with the "warranty".OLD------I bought 2 of these a few months ago and they worked great and are currently in my server. I then bought 2 of the enterprise drives from the same company that arrived this weekend and they came with an adaptor to hop the 3.3v power pin on the drive. The adaptor wasn't listed on the product info and without it the drive would get stuck in a power cycle loop. I cannot use the power adaptor because I use these drives in a hotswap bay that has a power port built in.I returned the enterprise drives and ordered another NAS drive (the product on this page) and got the same thing - a hard drive with a 3.3v power pin adaptor.I know these drives are cheap but if they are selling drives that require power adaptors it HAS TO BE IN THE PRODUCT INFO.

Good drive
Decent drive for the price. Have it running a server with tons of videos currently. No problems with streaming to multiple people simultaneously also.

Amazon Renewed sold me this junk
You'd think Amazon would honor their ad stating a five year warrantee. Lasted less than a year. Suppose to have a five year warrantee according to the ad, but after 90 days your not allowed to return it. Gonna have to say Amazon Renewed sux too.
