Damn Good Beef JerkySample Pack

All the flavors were tasty. Great selection of jerky! Death by jerky flavor is one of the best I’ve ever tasted!

This company and their product is absolutely amazing! Have purchased from them for over 12 years. Get them for Xmas stocking stuffers for my husband and son. This time ordered as a gift for my son and his dorm mate for snacks while studying for finals. Will be purchasing for Xmas again this year. Every time product is fresh, delivery is fast and reliable. I have even purchased to ship overseas to our troops. Can’t say enough about this company!!

While I enjoyed a few of the flavors provided in the sample pack, I found that each pack tasted too similar to the one before it. Only a few stood out from the bunch while the rest seemed like varying amounts of the same ingredients to differentiate the intensity of taste. I would say I enjoyed the Natural Style, Garlic, and Death by Jerky flavors, although the latter is less about flavor and more about intensity. At least it was a break from the consistent teriyaki flavoring that the rest of the bags had. The thing that does stand out about this jerky however is the meat itself. Great, not too dry or wet and it chews well.Overall I'm not sure I would order again, but there will be some out there who enjoy the convenient packaging and with the "variety" of flavors I'm sure there's something in there anybody would enjoy.

The various flavors are fairly bland. The 'death by jerky' didn't even have any heat behind it. On top of that, it's too soft for my liking. Bought Bronco Billy's Beef Jerky, flaming hot flavor, and it's far better. Heat & flavor, with a generous amount of chew.... Honestly, it's hard to find good jerky these days, outside of making your own, and buying it is prohibitively expensive as a regular thing.

The beef jerky has a great texture, not dry and brittle, but not wet either.As for the flavors they tend to have quite a bit of spice to them (not a bad thing in my book). I have not tried all of the flavors yet, but every one I have tried is pretty strong on the spices. The one I was most interested in was the Teriyaki which again had a strong spice flavor to it. It was good but the flavor wasn't quite what I was expecting. I am looking forward to trying all of the flavors and will absolutely be buying again. This is probably one of the best commercial jerky's I have had and I would recommend trying it if you enjoy jerky.I did give them 4 stars instead of 5 because for some reason they managed to get the wrong address even though I know the correct address was sent. But don't let this stop you from buying the jerky which is very good.Teriyaki: Great texture, good teriyaki flavor with a nice unexpected spice.Garlic Pepper: Great texture, moderately spicy flavor, with mild garlic.BBQ: Much tougher texture than the other flavors, strong smoke flavor, light BBQ flavor, pretty sweet.Sweet & Spicy: slightly tougher texture, not as bad as the BBQ. Flavors are mild with a strong heat that comes late.Western Style: pretty good texture, not as soft as the teriyaki was, but still decent. The predominant flavor is clearly pepper, but it has some nice flavor below the peppery heat as well.Hawaiian Teriyaki: Sadly this gets a similar texture to the BBQ which is to say it's a bit tough and chewy. The flavors are as expected, a nice smooth teriyaki with a strong hint of pineapple.Hot & Spicy: Texture is decent, similar to what was seen with the Western Style. It is a bit spicier than any of the others so far, it has a bit of flavor in the background but the heat drowns out most of it.Natural: For a true naturalist this may have too much flavor still. But for most everyone else the flavor is mild in comparison to the others seeming to be focused mostly around a Worcestershire style sauce.Zesty Habanero: This flavor starts out fairly smooth and mild, but quickly builds up a heat well beyond even the Hot & Spicy. This isn't a slow steady heat that makes you sweat, but more a sharp stinging heat as one might expect from a Habanero. I oddly enjoyed this one even though I had to take breaks occasionally while eating it to let the heat subside.Death by Jerky: Very Hot, I had to cut it up into tiny pieces to be able to eat it otherwise the heat was overwhelming (and I like hot stuff).Black Pepper: Oddly the black pepper is not the predominant flavor, purists will probably prefer to skip over this one as again it has a strong Worcestershire flavor to it.So far I would say that the Teriyaki is my favorite both in flavor and texture.

To start off let me say that Damn Good beef jerky is the best jerky I've ever had, it's succulent and moist and tender enough to eat without excessive effort but tough enough to hold together in the bag. This product contains a great variety of jerky from the aptly-named "Death by Jerky" (which is by far the hottest jerky I've ever had, a 1/2 inch square will leave your mouth burning for a few minutes!) to the "Hawaiian Style Teriyaki" (which has a delightfully sweet flavor to compliment the beef) and everything in between.The bags are tough to open without a knife or scissors and aren't resealable, but they're small enough (and delicious enough) that they don't last long enough to need resealing, and the difficulty in opening without tools makes the pack as a whole last longer.The flavors included: Hawaiian style Teriyaki, Habanero, BBQ, Original Hickory, Teriyaki, Sweet & Spicy, Death by Jerky, Western Style, Natural Style, Garlic, Black Pepper, and Hot & Spicy.

YES! YES! And YES! This is literally the BEST jerky you can buy. It has so many different delicious flavors and the texture and thickness is unlike most common jerky in stores. They have an amazing variety and each one is SO good. I live in New York State and can buy them at local store, that's where I fell in love with this company. When I saw this sample pack and realized the value for the money I was spending it was so worth it. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
