Rockport Men's Ackerley Rain Boot

These are a great pair of boots ... they're well made, fit is spot on, look stylish and, most of all, they're very comfortable!It's been several years since I last had some Rockports; I had moved on to Timberlands, Irish Setters, Red Wings, Danner and others - all of which have some really great boots. These Rockports are just as good - especially in regards to fit and comfort.For sizing reference, I wear 10.5D in sneakers (Nike, UA, Diesel, Asics) and a 10D in boots.With these boots, the fit is perfect - not loose, nor too snug - just a good secure fit that provides a comfortable wear.As for comfort, I'd give these a 9.5 out of 10 ... probably one of the more comfortable pair of boots I have worn.The boots are made with semi-soft, pliable, high quality leather; they're fully lined and have an excellent insole.Break-in time is next to nill as they feel great right out of the box.Appearance-wise, these have a stylish, classic look that works well in the office or casual weekend wear.Considering the very reasonable / low cost of these boots, I'm impressed.Would recommend.

fits well (size as expected). no break-in period, to soon to tell re: performance in inclement conditions, although Rockport items have always been excellent in the prior couple of decades i have worn their product (many times these products were American in that time), and i expect the same result now.

Excellent buy! I absolutely hate to buy shoes online because I often require a wide size and absolutely hate the hassle of returning things via mail. Thankfully, there were wide sizes offered in this style. As I was searching for rain boots I really didn't intend to purchase something at this price point, but I was willing to spend more for something that looked this good. I wanted something simple and inexpensive. Most rain boots, it seems, double as snow or winter boots and I didn't want that extra, heavy bulk. I wanted something I could use in New York City and Tampa, FL without making my feet sweat in the summer. I needed protection from the large puddles of dirty water that builds up at every intersection in NYC. I do a lot of walking so a lightweight, comfortable boot was a must. This is it. Rockport is a quality brand and they hit a home run with this. I doubt this would be a boot used for snow or very cold weather, but it seems a perfect fit for me.

These arrived on time and fit as expected. I love the style. So far they are waterproof. I have only wore them in the rain twice and they have not leaked. I did add mink oil to help with the waterproofing but that was after the rain events. I have wore them weekly for almost two weeks and they have broken in nicely. They are comfortable and I would purchase these again. I've owned these boots for about 6 months. They are my daily shoe. They are really comfortable and have held up nicely. They are wearing a bit around the sole. I have self corrected this with some glue. They are still waterproof from rain and wet grass but I would trust walking around in a pond with'em! I will be buying another pair of these soon! Still love'em!

It's ok, it looks good (just like the photo). I wear size 11.5 which usually fits me without a problem on the first try, but this one feels a bit tight.

I was looking for a replacement for a pair of New Balance waterproof boots. I normally wear 10 1/2 4E in NB boots, so I ordered 11 Wide (2E) in the hope the extra length would also result in extra width. Well, the 11s fit like clown boots. They were huge! I really liked the boots, so I exchanged them for 10 W. The 10s fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I will be looking at more Rockports in the future.

its not water proof. water slowly soaks through... its also bit tight towards the front. its well made boots, just not for rain boots.

I love these boots. The fit and finish is refined and feels substantial. They are dressy yet the tread is just the no nonsense aggressive I need to get my job done. The size 10 wide is perfect fit for the guy who always has to buy an oversized 10.5 to get the fit he needs for a wide foot.
