Tall Tall Tree: A Nature Book for Kids About Forest Habitats (A Rhyming Counting Book with STEAM Activities)

Arrived quickly and will give to my granddaughter with money tucked in the back to save for a trip to see these wonderful trees in person sone day

I purchased this book on a whim because my toddler loves animals and counting. It immediately became a favorite in our home - both for the kids and the grown-ups! The illustrations are beautifully detailed and I find myself always discovering something new. This book discusses different living beings in a forest and I love that they are not the ones you might expect (e.g. slugs, bats). My son had a blast counting the creatures and it’s especially fun that he has to search for some of them. I always love a good rhyming book and this does not disappoint. As a warning, one page depicts an owl with a dead mouse in its mouth - realistic but also worth being aware of so you’re not surprised if you need to explain it!

My grandson needed work with rhyming and this book had tons and other cues of questions that could easily be asked for comprehension giving it double purpose.

Very informative. I visited the redwoods as a child and can't wait to take my kids someday, loved the illustrations and the numbers were great for my little kids learning to count!

This book is pretty good, beautiful pictures. It’s a counting book which isn’t really what I was expecting - so each page is 1 squirrel lives up high, 2 woodpeckers... etcetera ( It’s focus isn’t so much on trees as it is the animals that live in the trees). The font is large print and fairly simple. There are five pages at the end of the book with tree and forest facts aimed at older children and adults. Overall not what I was expecting, as I was hoping for something more tree focused for younger kids, but still a nice book.

Bought this for my granddaughter. She loves trees and they live clothe to are wood forest. The pictures ate amzing.
