Totally worth it~
The book arrived in tip top shape! Print quality and cover art is in great condition and the paperback is great to read. Totally brings me back to my school days when reading this.

Badly damaged
Corners all heavily damaged, dirt fingerprints on the side, folds on the cover. Even the spine is creaking from the bad handling.

A classic and new favorite
Pratchett's word play is always a delight. His characters dance of the page.

A twist and turn at every corner.
When Polly joins the army against Nugganite law you just can’t guess where the story will take you. A great place to start your adventures in discworld.

Fascinating
I don't normally comment on books as tastes are so varied. But even in the fascinating world of the Terry Pratchett mind I find this one stands out. A thoroughly enjoyable read ........... diminished solely by the fact I now have to find another one that attempts to be as good!

great pratchett fun
after "the truth" this one was a great read, with known charachters coming back and a huge napoleonic / victorian warfare vibe, played in the usual hilarious way.

So unique and still a perfect fit
It’s hard not to describe this book being so different yet still the same without giving away any spoilers. From the title I had no idea what to expect and soon after starting I was gripped and still reading late into the night. There are names and places old and new to enjoy with a great plot and very interesting themes. Some of the characters introduced are already a new favourite but then thats a hard choice as so many are, like this book, just brilliant.
