The color contrast of the two sides is great. Easily distinguish the opponents pieces. I enjoy playing chess and this is a great set on the go or at home. Everything as advertised especially the size of the chess pieces. It comes with 2 queens which is good for when a pawn gets promoted.

My husband didn’t know how to play chess and we started playing using an app, but I thought it might be nice to have a physical chess board at home.Enter this chess/checker board! I like that it’s portable and super easy to set up to get going. We can play at home and we can bring it with us anywhere we want.I think the board and pieces look good and they look like they will last us a good while.

It's good not the best wood set but good. Comes with a storage bag to protect the kit, folds for storage. But when it opens up to lay on a surface to play the peices stored pop out and couldbget scratched. So the kids had to put the chess pieces aside to play checkers

Got these for the grand kids.. they love to play chess with grandpa so I got one for them to play each other.. very pleased.
