Nautica Boys' Battan Reversible Belt

I'm writing this review for two reasons: First, it's a great belt for boys at an exceptional value, given that it switches from the tan to the black leather easily and eliminates the need for 2 belts. Secondly, I wanted to help provide sizing info, since I had a hard time deciding. My 9 year old son's waistline measured about 27 1/2 inches. Taking the guideline from the text, I ordered 2 sizes up, going with 30. It was way too big and not even the first hole could be used to secure the belt (that was still too loose). So I returned for the 28 which fits perfectly. He now uses the 2nd hole of 7, leaving 5 more holes available for future growth. Looks great and should last a long time.

Great belt, excellent price, especially for the brand! My son needed a black belt for a school event. This one appears to be well made, and hopefully, will stand the test of time. I choose this one, because I like the fact that it is reversible. I have seen people complain about difficulties reversing and about the screws and branding being on one side of the belt. I honestly don’t see what the problem is, none of those things show when the belt is on. Also, it is super easy to reverse, just pull the buckle and twist.

Bought this belt twice. It seems like a really nice belt but it broke after several months of use. I bought it again because I'm hoping the other was a fluke.Update: 11/1/17The second one hasn't broken yet but it's about to so I ordered a third. That's pretty lazy of me but I like it enough and it's cheap enough that it's fine. Two belts a school year isn't going to break the bank and we went through several belts that were terrible before we found this one.

I needed a black and brown belt for my son for his school uniform. So, I settled on the Nautica Big Boy's Reversible Belt. He wears a size 8 (he's 7) and this is perfect with a lot of room to grow. The reversible part is easy to use. All you have to do is pull on the buckle part and twist and you have the side you want to use. (I never knew that's how you make a belt reversible for years!) With everyday use, it looks just like the day we got it. Unless he loses it, I can see us using this for years. I wish the brown part was more a dark brown than a yellowish, light brown, but can't win on everything.

The picture shows 2 belts. I thought I was buying 2 belts. I didn’t bother reading the description.

I got this belt specifically because it claimed to be reversible and my son was thrilled because he would only have to put one away. However, to actually use it as reversible, you have to put it on as the tan side, then flip it over. The hardware that shows on the black side make it very clear that it is not reversible. You see the screws and metal fixtures and the back of the buckle. Great idea though. Hope you come up with one for real.

I bought the belt because I have a 29" waist & needed a reversible one. I did get the 29" belt & put it on notch 3 I think & have about an inch of belt that sticks past the belt loop. This was a plus because there isn't excess belt. I may have gone with the next size up though. If you're an adult & using this, just remember that the width of the belt is smaller. For the price I paid, it's just fine.

Love the way the buckle on top rotates to have a black or brown belt! Love the versatility of it!
