Why does this knife keep rusting?

The Serbian chef knife is made of high carbon steel, it rusts more easily than stainless steel knives. We suggest that you hand wash the Serbian chef's knife with clean water and dry the surface with a clean towel after each use. Keep the meat cleaver knife in a dry, clean and ventilated place away from children, corrosive liquid, direct sunlight and open fires. You can also apply oil on the blade regularly to prevent rust. If it rusts a little, wipe it with vinegar or toothpaste and dry it in time. With reasonable maintenance, the Serbian knife will last a long lifetime.

Is this not real stainless steel? Description says anti-rust but reviews say rusting. Mine arrived covered in oil to prevent rust?

This chef cleaver knife is real stainless steel, the review about saying rusting is of another high carbon steel Serbian Chef Knife which has been sold out. The truth is that both stainless steel knives and high carbon steel knives will rust, it's just that high carbon steel knives are more prone to rust than stainless steel knives. So the stainless steel effort saving knives are also preoiled to protect the chef knife blades.
