Amazing monitor with excellent HDR capabilities
Very happy with this monitor. HDR looks very good indeed and the screen is able to get very bright making HDR content really pop. As it’s a VA panel the blanks are inky blank too compared to the washed out blacks you’ll see on an LCD panel. Monitors far more expensive than this don’t have HDR or have a poor HDR implementation, so if you’re looking for a great value good performer that renders HDR content incredibly well, you can’t really go wrong here. Reading reviews about VA panels online, I was worried about the smearing effect but honestly, if you need a high performance camera to try and spot it, for any normal human eyes, you’re not going to notice it. I certainly have had no issues gaming on this and the high refresh rate will keep the pixel peeping idiots that need absolute perfection fairly happy I’m sure. Can’t comment on the speakers as I use separate speakers for my PC but I’d assume they’re fairly mediocre like most built in monitor speakers. I use a £30 Creative speaker setup which is more than enough for my needs. Also, the OSD when setting it up at first is a bit slow and fiddly but once it’s setup you don’t need to touch it again, so no big dramas there. Overall, an amazing monitor and for a price that can’t really be beaten given the HDR capabilities, nice resolution and inky blacks from the VA panel. As I say, for any normal human eyes I think you’ll be very pleased. Other reviewers seem to agree here as well it seems.**UPDATE** This monitor does not have any built in speakers. As metioned in my review, not a problem as I use a set of external speakers, and built in speakers would probably sound pretty poor anyway, but thought I'd update my review to highlight their absence on this monitor. Still a great screen though, and everything I mention above still stands. Recommended.

So far so good for it's price but some tuning needed after using it.
For it's price it's well built, such as the stand and adjusting screen height, and I'm glad 1440p monitors exist in this size. Others are too big for my needs. No dreaded dead pixel yet. Most importantly the picture is great *once all the settings are tuned*. Crisp colour and brightness afterwards.Recommendations: Go into windows display and increase the Hz. By default it doesn't always select the highest one.Next is to go into the monitor settings, select "picture boost", and put frame size to maximum. This seems to make the image more accurate and not covered in mild fog. Select Gamma 2 in Luminance. DCR might not help, leave it off. Other default settings seem fine too (unless you want to go further into calibration but I cba for my use case). There are a few websites telling you how to get the best out of a AOC monitor as out of the box/from factory it might not be 100% set up.Now... Windows does not detect HDR, but I will not yet fault the monitor because it could be an issue with my mini displayport to hdmi adapter, will investigate in the upcoming days and update the review.Cons: The manufacturer is cutting corners and now it has one hdmi instead of two, the picture quality is great so far so will not let this cause a return as I don't need two for my needs but they should update the listing.Edit: My mistake, it does not advertise HDR. Not that it matters for most games and Windows apps as most don't support it. So keeping the 5 stars not 4. It has a fake built in HDR with some presets that are worthless. Don't bother to enable, after tinkering with the settings.Edit 2: Switched from my old DP to HDMI cable adapter to a high quality DP to DP cable and got the full 165Hz and not 144Hz I was capped to before. Also nvidia app now recognises the g-sync. Very nice.

Impressive colors, sharp detail great choice for pc gamers
AOC U32G3X – 32" 4K IPS 144Hz MonitorAfter years with a smaller 24" display, I decided to upgrade to this 32" AOC U32G3X – and the difference is stunning. The 4K resolution on a 32" panel delivers incredible detail and immersion, especially in high-end games and simulators. Picture QualityRight out of the box, the image looked great. Personally, I prefer using the monitor without HDR, as it makes colors appear brighter and more natural. With HDR, the image felt slightly dimmed, like looking through sunglasses – good contrast, but not as lively. ✔️ Gaming ExperienceIn Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and F1 2024, the image was breathtaking – smooth motion, vivid colors, and incredible realism. It genuinely feels like a premium gaming experience. Even without G-SYNC, gameplay remained fluid and responsive. ✔️ Refresh Rate and ResolutionThe monitor runs at 144 Hz, but at 1080p I couldn't set it below 100 Hz. However, when using its native 4K resolution, all refresh rate options (60 Hz, 120 Hz, 144 Hz) became available. That flexibility is a big plus. ❗ Minor IssueI noticed a single bright pixel visible only on a pure black background. It’s not a dead pixel, as it displays other colors correctly. I attempted to "unstick" it using a pixel refresh test (flashing square method), but it hasn’t disappeared yet. This falls within normal manufacturing tolerance and doesn't affect gameplay or media use at all.--- ✅ Summary:+ Crisp and detailed 4K image+ True-to-life colors (especially without HDR)+ Great gaming performance (MSFS, F1 2024)+ Multiple refresh rate options in 4K− One slightly bright pixel (not dead, only on black)− Occasional flicker when switching resolutions 💬 Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. The monitor looks amazing, performs flawlessly, and brings games to life. Just waiting to pair it with a VR headset next!
