The best value if you want both daytime and astronomical observing.
Even though I have a couple of high quality apochromatic refractors and the difference is more than obvious, I still keep my Evostar 90 and use it some times and I have to give it 5 stars for its price. Surprisingly well built for a low price instrument, decent quality optics (the CA is not too much to bother you), even the eyepieces are quite usable Super-MA (instead of Huygens etc junk you get sometimes).Although I recommend this type of refractor with an equatorial mount (EQ-2 or better) for those who want strictly astronomical observing (or advise for an 130mm reflector instead which will give quite better deep sky views), this scope/mount combination is pretty much ideal for those who want both daytime viewing and nighttime observation.

amazing bit of kit for the price.
I have one of these and I am well pleased with it. I can clearley see the bands on jupiter and all four moons. I have yet to find Saturn as at the time of writing it is a morning object visable at stupid o clock. lol The views of the moon are incredable. However for prolonged viewing you need a moon filter as it can give you a headache. The only drawback is the angle you need to be at to view objects high in the sky, this makes the eyepiece very low. This can be overcome by using a chair or placing the scope on a raised surface. All in all good value for money.
