At Pact we work with farmers directly, such as Sergio Mantovanni, who grew this Brazilian coffee. Building relationships with farmers like Sergio, means paying a fair price that reflects the quality of their beans. It also means helping them to develop their farms for the future. The Planalto farm, where this coffee was grown, can be found in the highlands of the Nova Rezende in Brazil. Sergio, together with his wife Mariza, has been growing specialty coffees there for the last 25 years when they inherited the farm from Mariza's father. Planalto's 3,600-foot altitude and the surrounding natural forest, contribute to the farm's unique microclimate, which is perfect for growing high-quality coffee. Sergio's expertise and experience shine through as you taste this coffee. It boasts rich, milk chocolate taste notes and malty sweetness and has been a massive hit with Pact customers this year.
