V60 Metal Coffee Dripper

I chose to purchase the Hario V60 to elevate my coffee brewing experience. The dripper's reputation for producing clean, flavorful coffee, combined with its design appealed to both my aesthetic preferences and desire for quality. What you'll need: Hario V60 Copper Dripper (VDPR-02-CP) Coffee beans Grinder Filter (preferably Hario V60 paper filters) Kettle Scale Timer Mug or carafe Preparation: Place the Hario V60 Copper Dripper on top of a mug or carafe. Fold the filter along the seam and place it inside the dripper. Rinse the filter with hot water to remove any paper flavor and preheat the dripper and your vessel. Discard the rinse water. Grind your coffee beans: Weigh out your coffee beans according to your desired coffee-to-water ratio. A common ratio is 1:15 (1 part coffee to 15 parts water). Grind the coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency, similar to sea salt. Add coffee grounds: Place the ground coffee into the rinsed filter. Gently shake the dripper to level the coffee bed. Bloom the coffee: Start your timer and pour just enough hot water (about twice the weight of the coffee grounds, e.g., if you used 20g of coffee, pour 40g of water) to saturate the grounds evenly. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are wetted. Allow the coffee to bloom for about 30 seconds. This helps release carbon dioxide and prepares the grounds for optimal extraction. Pour in stages: After the bloom, slowly pour hot water (about 95-98°C or 200-205°F) in a circular motion over the coffee grounds. Begin pouring from the center and spiral outward, keeping the water level consistent but never completely covering the coffee grounds. Aim to finish pouring within 2-3 minutes, depending on the amount of coffee you're brewing. Finish brewing: Once you've poured all the water, let the coffee drip through the filter until it's finished dripping (the total brew time should be around 3-4 minutes). Serve and enjoy: Carefully lift the dripper off the mug or carafe and discard the used filter and coffee grounds. Pour the brewed coffee into your favorite mug and enjoy your freshly brewed cup!

Works very well and fits the cups we use without having grinding between the cups and the dripper. Wish the stainless was a little thicker to hold/keep heat a little better. Makes a great cup of coffee best of all.

This is the one to get for longevity.

The best V60 if you have clumsy housemates or for a commercial setting. I've worked as a barista for 15 years for context. As being metal, damage resistant, easy to clean and very rust resistant. With a durable rubber base that is easily removed for cleaning. This makes for a robust and long lived V60. I do not find that the metal gives a flavor into the finished coffee; I have read that this happens with cheaper metals. If I were to choose between this metal V60 vrs the ceramic it would be a toss up. I would maybe lean towards the ceramic at home as it doesn't bleed heat as much as this one does. But I think that the metal one works about 99% as good as the ceramic one, without the worry of breaking it. It's thin, light, and durable. Great for camping too.

The inside lining will wear down and look patchy even with hand washing. I do not own a dishwasher. However, this doesn’t affect the usability and it doesn’t bother me. It gives it a patina. The bottom piece will come off but is easily reattached. It’s actually nice to be able to remove it if I want to brew a pot in something different than my cup. I like this piece a lot and will buy another if I ever need to.

Works great and super easy to pre heat if that is your thing. It does drain quicker than the switch and ceramic versions.

bottom rubber (silicone?) makes it stable. Just perfect. Japanese companies know what the greatness mean!! Little pricey, but worth it.

I bought a metal V60 because it will likely last forever. If I ever had to buy another V60 60, I would buy metal again. The only downside to the metal V60 is the silicone base. If you ever swirl or tap in your pour over recipes, the silicone base is useless. I had one mishap when I was pouring over a wide carafe and the silicone base collapsed into the carafe, spilling water and grinds all over my counter. Thankfully, I already own a Hario Mugen, the plastic base from the Mugen is t, and that is what I’ve used going forward. No issues with the Mugen base over the same carafe. The metal cone is 5/5, but the silicone base is a really strange choice by Hario. I wouldn’t let they discourage you from buying a metal V60, but it’s worth me mentioning.

El paquete está mal protegido. La caja llegó maltratada. Lo peor de todo es que tenía manchas de agua y café. Definitivamente no es nuevo, como dice la descripción.
