About the Hittites
Most people, if they have heard of the Hittites at all, it was through references in the Bible. Of all the Bronze Age civilizations, with the exception, perhaps, of the enigmatic and polyglot Peoples of the Sea, the Hittites may be the least understood. While this book is not an extensive or in-depth work, it provides an excellent overview of the world of the Hittites, from their rise to their fall, synthesizing the research and excavations of the past couple centuries into a clearly written, easily understood monograph, nicely illustrated with photos and maps. For the student of history who wants to delve deeper into the Hittites an extensive bibliography is provided at the end of the work.

Recommended.
A must read for anyone interested in the Bronze age and in particular the history of the often forgotten Empire of the Hittites. I didn't know much about this mysterious people and this book has given me enough material to want to read some more. Recommended.
