Pleased with the amount of light this puts out. Various colors add a nice feature as well. The only negative of this light is that there is no kind of disconnect or connection that would allow you to feed it through a pvc pipe etc which I really wanted to do but was able to come up with a way to make it work. Other than that one issue it seems to be a good light! App was also easy enough to download and use.

Our pool was built with incandescent lights and after a few years, all the lights went bad. We inquired about upgrading to LED lights and the quotes came back were thousands of dollars. So the next thing we did was buying some of those batteries operated LED lights. The first problem with those were that they leak water into the unit just after a few hours inside the pool. The little rubber gasket for the battery opening doesn't really work well to stop the water going in. The second problem with the battery units were that they are not bright at all. You get some accent lighting and that's about it.So, I got the 20W unit of the LyLmLe light. I was thinking just to try it out and thinking that one light would not be enough to light up the pool which is 37 feet long. I was wrong! You can see the result in the video and picture. My pool used to have 2 incandescent bulbs when it was built, and I think the 20W LED unit is almost as bright as the 2 bulbs. If I have 2 of the 20W LED, it would been brighter than the original 2 lights for sure.The app was very easy to install and use. The only issue I have with the app is that the mic feature doesn't seem to work well. We were trying to use the phone mic to listen to the songs and sync the light changes to the beats. To us, it seems like it just randomly flashes the lights. Maybe we just haven't learned how to use it, or it is the limit of the app.Now we will need to get some cord cover, so people won't trip on the cord. I also wish the cord could be a little longer. It is only a problem if your outlet is really far away from the pool. Our closest outlet is about 30 feet away, so we had to use an extension cord.

For one season we enjoyed our light. The magnet was never strong enough to hold it to the pool wall but it was bright and fully customizable so we kept it and used it all summer. At the end of the season we stored it away. This season, we plugged it in and it would only turn on if you held the cord in a certain position, like an old phone charger. For $70 I really wish it would have held up longer. Customer service reached out and sent a replacement! We intend to store away more carefully to help this one last.
