5/5 stars must have item last 12-20 minutes max on full charge in between using 2 55+ charge time
Works great for metal and nickel strips 0.015 0.010 doesn’t last long and I recommend a second one the seesii that’s super powerful but that’s for double plate be careful use on 3 and this one on max it’s fire need 2 minimum these are the best for the money 5:5 stars for price and what it did for me and did not break like the crappy box polymer battery 5-8kw with clear wire cables that is trash had to wait a month longer in delays this is definitely recommended for a budget for small packs or repairs wil need multiple- this model and the bigger one set start on 3 will need 10 when double or triple plate both together makes an amazing combo but will need to let charge frequently lasts 8-12 minutes max charges 30-50 minutes not fully charged maybe 1.5 hours on e I don’t know I leave the house but if building larger packs it’s good don’t use copper it won’t work - plus my one copper bus #6 is giving me issues I may replace with metal and nickel like the rest - good luck 🍀

Ideal for Repairing Tool Batteries with Precision
Ideal for Repairing TooI purchased this spot welder specifically to repair some tool batteries, and it’s perfect for the job! The 11 adjustable gears give you great control, allowing you to fine-tune the settings depending on the materials you're working with. Both the automatic and manual modes are easy to use, which adds versatility depending on the project at hand. It’s compact but powerful, and it works flawlessly for welding nickel sheets to batteries. The build quality feels solid, and the 2M of included nickel is a nice bonus. If you're doing battery repairs or small welding projects, this tool is a great addition to your workshop!l Batteries with Precision

Portable Spot Welder Makes Quick Work of Battery Pack Assembly.
As someone who frequently builds custom battery packs, I'm always on the lookout for tools that can speed up and simplify the assembly process. The AWithZ Handheld Spot Welder has become an invaluable tool in my workshop. This portable spot welder is lightweight and compact, making it easy to handle and position as needed. But don't let its size fool you - it delivers up to 400 amps of current to achieve strong, reliable nickel strip welds. The dual copper electrodes pressing from both sides helps ensure even contact and heat distribution.I've been consistently impressed with the quality of welds this little machine can produce. Welds form quickly and penetrate multiple layers of nickel strip. The built-in pulse time control lets you adjust duration to suit different thickness strips and battery types. One of my favorite features is the foot pedal control, which frees up both hands for positioning strips. The pedal gives you complete control over activating the pulse. There's also a convenient in-handle switch for hands-only operation. At its affordable price point, I think the AWithZ spot welder is a steal for anyone into battery building. The portability and effectiveness of this tool has sped up my pack assembly considerably. I can now easily weld packs with series connections on the go. I highly recommend it for battery enthusiasts, electricians, and hobbyists looking to expand their capabilities.

Save your money
Lacked the power to weld the nickel strips to my batteries and quit working after maybe 10 attempts.

Easy fast spot welder
I have tried the style of spot welder with a big battery pack and 2 long wires to the contacts, and yes, they work. This spot welder saved me an immense amount of time in rebuilding my DeWalt lithium batteries. Wow. Fast, easy, solid spot welds, and the battery lasted impressively. After 3 completed batteries, so 30 cells and 60+ connections of 4 welds each, this unit still had battery left and was functioning perfectly. It did get warm in the hand and I hit the thermal shutdown threshold once when I was working fast. It got warm (not hot) and stopped welding for a few minutes, cooled down and kept going. Not a big deal since I used the time to solder the balance leads on.So far I really like it would buy another if continuous production were an issue. Swapping between 2 of them could keep a person welding nickel strip all day.

good product easy to use
This was exactly what i needed and works great. Had a bit of a learning curve. i would recommend that you check the thickness of material you are welding before purchasing to be sure this will meet your needs. if not they do sell a really nice m or]e powerful unit for a bit more cost. defiantly satisfied

It works great, excellent value
This item was so cheap i was suspicious, but after receiving it and having used it several times i can say this this works great. It comes with a small roll of straps and works as designed with them. When I use the welder with thicker gauge straps there's still no issue. There's more than enough power here to weld just about anything reasonable for this application. Great value.

Misses & Hits
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: JULY 30, 2024 - Dead! No longer takes a charge, will not turn on. 10-sec reset had no impact. Worked well while it lived, but it did not live long. I took it apart. The battery has 3.8v (4.2v max according to the manual) but there is no one is home (no lights). Nothing looks fried or disconnected... just DEAD!The first welder I received was a total failure. It was totally dead on arrival, charged in 30 mins, died in 5 minutes and never produced a single weld in any “gear”... just BEEPED. It would not work, even when plugged into a 2 amp USB power source.I requested a replacement, which Amazon sent promptly. I left the new welder on charge overnight, just to be sure. While there are some apparent quality issues, it seems solidly built and is easy to use. I have only made one NiCD battery pack using 4, 1/3 AA cells. It worked very well and made 12 welds without need to recharge. It does the job. The attached video is just an example.
