I recently purchased a Worm Nerd vermicomposting bin and have been immensely pleased with it as an addition to my greenhouse and garden. I'll start by saying the bin is incredibly well-made, easy to assemble, and keeps my worms very happy. It comes with 2 more stackable trays that hold a heaping amount of castings. Pretty nifty built-in aeration system beneath to ensure that the compost never gets overly wet or too dry, the drain holes make it easy to manage excess moisture, plus you have a tap and can collect the worm juice to feed houseplants or veggies. The plastic is also TOUGH, durable enough to keep out any pests or critters, which I have had issues with in other bins. Overall, this is an excellent product and has made vermicomposting a breeze, even my girlfriends 10 year old soon loves to help tend to the worms. Highly recommend! 🪱

I bought this as a home to raise red wiggler worms. My first time. I keep to the phrase, "a little dry is better than too wet" and they are doing well. No smell, not even when I churn the old food into their bedding. Some moisture collects on the lid and in the bottom compartment, which I just recycle on top the bedding until I can produce worm tea. I have tested whole, frozen and blended, no smell. I give plenty of spent coffee ground and ground eggshells to aid in digestion. Two egg shells sit at the bottom of their home to encourage mating, and their population is increasing. This unit does an outstanding job of compacting a home to raise worms without smell.

Im a complete beginner and decided to start vermicomposting at home. Ive had this bin for a couple of months now and my worms love it. They are even laying eggs😍. Im so happy everything is turning out good for now. i also added a mesh on the first tray so they dont get to the bottom tray (where liquid is collected).

This has worked perfectly for my little worm farm. My worms are thriving and I am seeing new worms emerging.

Just started using it. So far so good, but some worms get out. Every morning I collect 5-6 dead/half dead worms from the floor.
