Voice muffled
Not sure if I’ve got a dud but the sound quality is very poor at the start and difficult to hear, her voice is muffled. However it clears up further on so will persevere

Restful Induction and safe Messages
I am a pastor with three churches and I often come home from meetings late at night stressed out. As a result, I often will use a self hypnosis or meditation to help me relax and sleep.There are three key things you should know about self hypnosis.The first thing is that no one can hypnotize you against your will.The second thing is that no one can make you do anything you don't want to do - you are always a willing participantThe final thing is that you can wake up at any time, you are always in control.However, I normally listen to the different parts of the hypnosis session while fully awake before I participate in them fully. Ms Eccles does not use a lot of visualization in this - she does have you picture climbing down stairs to a beach, and she does ask you to remember (not imagine) how you slept as a baby and to apply that to your sleep patterns today.The induction portion of the process involves an older technique, where instead of having the listener focus on something internal (like breathing), it involves a regular monotone (almost muffled at times) of Ms Eccles reminding you to relax and reminding you of how to relax. She has you release the tensions that are binding you down. As your brain listens, it gradually moves into a relaxed state. Don't worry if you can't hear it perfectly, that is a part of the process, letting the sound just lull you. The words aren't as important as the process.I have found her technique easy to listen to and have found it effective for me, particularly if I play it after I awaken at night. I slip back easily into sleep with this technique.I have been listening to this for nearly two weeks. I have found that I am falling asleep about an hour earlier and am sleeping through more regularly. When I do awaken, I simply replay the message and quickly fall back to sleep.There is no wake up part at the end of this message, so it is ideal for bedtime. While it suggests headphones for maximum effect, I cannot wear them and sleep, and there seems to be only a couple of spots where it might be helpful. I have been listening to this without it.Their Web site also suggests that you can put this on repeat and play it through the night. I don't recommend it. The ending of this is intended to softly (with music) and quietly let you drift off to a normal sleep. However, the beginning is louder and a bit abrupt if you are already sleeping. I tried it and discovered that I woke up every time it started over.Advanced Hypnosis offered me a complimentary MP3 to listen to and test for a review.As someone who has used other techniques and listened to other voices, I particularly appreciate this session and am comfortable using it for myself. Five stars.
