It's an adhesive tape that features a strong hypoallergenic adhesion, it's easy to unwind and tear by hand.

Q: how long can elastic adhesive bandage be left on your skin

I only gave it on for about 3 hours maximum but that’s my choice. I think you can leave them overnight if not too tight

Q: Can this be used to hold an ice pack in place ?

Yes. It is quite strong so be careful. My son uses for rugby and now has permanently waxed strips around his thighs but initially it was painful to remove.
