I have always loved WMF products and these tongs are no exception. Great for serving pasta!

I've been wanting a decent spaghetti remover for a long time. I hesitate to use the word 'spoon' because this implement is more like a pair of tongs if you ask me. I use mine for picking up and plating spaghetti, removing it from boiling water. It works very well, and I've seen professional chefs using the same tool. I've also used them successfully with asparagus and as salad tongs by the way.Made from highly polished stainless steel, and etched with a neat WMF logo this is an attractive looking, well made, high quality and properly finished implement, with no sharp edges. All of the WMF output is very good, and I bought this after being highly impressed with their wonderful oak and glass pepper grinders. I've since purchased other items from them too, which is a good sign as I'm a very picky buyer.The only issue I have with these, and the reason I've deducted one star, is the price. I recently visited my local German owned supermarket and saw the exact same item selling for four quid. It was obviously an own brand Chinese produced replica, but all the same, the price differential was significant.

WMF does good stuff, if you can afford it. When its products are on Amazon Warehouse, though, they're worth a look. That's how I came by this thing. It's a solid product, with no sharp edges; the shine looks deep and long-lasting; and all the tines line-up perfectly. End to end I make it around 23.5cm (9 in.) and it weighs just over 115g. Solid.
