This is a plug and play device but you will need some software to read the card data.

Which drivers do you need to download to read drivers digital tacho?

Hi, The drivers to run the reader should auto install when connected but any specific software for the digital tacho would need to be advised by the tacho supplier/support as this is not included/covered by the reader drivers.

This device uses CCID Support & Removes the requirement to install drivers on standard operating systems to fully support capabilities of the reader board. It will read data into Notepad or word but if you want it to do anything else you will need to buy additional software or use a developer to integrate with an exisiting software platform. There is a document called OMNIKEY® CONTACT SMART CARD READERS SOFTWARE DEVELOPER GUIDE that you can access direct from the manufacturer Hope this helps

Can I use this via Chromebook?
