I need the power supply but there is no power supply provided with the camera. What is the specification for the power supply? 12V.... ??? Amps?

Hi - You'll need a 1amp minimum, preferably 2 amp psu depending on siting of camera.. An extension cable to go from outlet to camera with a 5.5mm 2.1mm - male one end, female the other, as the psu will likely only have a metre or less cable. A wall plug type is fine for one camera or maybe two but any more and I'd recommend a larger psu - 5A + - of the separate box and lead type. I know it's three years past but someone might find it useful.

How does it get its power and how do you record the pictures

The main box plugs into the wall socket. The cameras are supplied by the box via cables. There is a Hdd in the main box that records everything. You can set up motion alarms etc from the box (plugged into a tv)
