Stylish but overpriced
A very stylish watch but considerably overpriced. The quality of the mechanism is totally negated by the cheap glass face that is soft and easily scratched making it very limited for normal wear and functionality. I gouged a deep scratch on the face putting my hand into a zipped pocket and was, subsequently, quoted a staggering and unrealistic replacement price of £200 by the Japanese retailer. Thankfully, my own jeweller was able to replace the glass for a tenth of this exorbitant rip-off price.As a follow up to my earlier review the hour hand recently wrapped itself around the spindle.; how that occurred is beyond my comprehension. However, I returned the watch to a Junghans repair centre to be informed that it would cost close to the full purchase price for overhaul and repair. Thankfully, with a selection of high end watches at my disposal I shall confine this stylish third-rate piece of engineering to the scrap heap, where it belongs.
