I had ordered another brand that didn't work at all so with someone else's recommendation, I ordered this one.I was in a bind and needed one ASAP to finish orders for my burned hats before Christmas so I was excited to get this pyrography burner. When it arrived, the front display was pushed in and I couldn't use it, and with this being the second one that was broken in two weeks, I was not happy .The seller actually reached out to me the day after it was delivered to see how I liked their item and when I explained that I started a return because it was broken, they immediately shipped out a whole new burner.And not only that - they explained to me how to fix the other one.If I could give them 100 stars, I would! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐And the burner is fantastic. The wire nib side heats up so quickly and I can lower the temp just a quick if needed. The solid pen side is perfect for shading, burning holes for rivets and leather cording and soldering the chains.I highly recommend this item!

As my son took his silk tie off, he asked if it could be ironed (while looking for the label instructions), and before he could find it, I told me that everything could be ironed; it was just a matter of controlling the temperature. And this is what this machine has going for it. You can control the temperature so precicly that not only can you engrave wood, but fabric and leather as well (as long as they are thick enough). Just be sure to be in a well-ventilated area and test it out on a spare piece first before doing your final item.

My daughter has been doing woodburning for awhile now, with a basic beginner woodburning kit. She's been wanting something nicer, and the day this arrived, she went and made a coaster for her best friend. Clearly, there wasn't much of a learning curve, as she was working with it very quickly.The following are her words:Overall, it is very nice. The nibs are different than other units I've seen.It has the two different things that are for two different nibs, solid and wire. I don't know if I'm just doing it wrong, but the solid ones aren't working for me. The wand you switch to for the solid nib needs a lot more heat than the other one. So it takes a bit more adjusting.The gloves don't seem very protective, but because the insulation on the wands is so good, you really don't need heat protection anyway.It is pretty easy to put the tips in, though some take a little fiddling.

My wife has really gotten into woodburning as an art form. She started off with those cheap kits from the hobby store, but those quickly proved to be inadequate for her needs. This is a truly professional set. It has really good temperature control and heats up very quickly. In fact, you have to be careful because it can get so hot that you make flames. It has two pens which makes it possible to use both wire nibs and solid point nibs at the same time. The nibs are easy to change out. There is an excellent selection of nibs in this set allowing you a lot of creative expression. All told this is an excellent set for anyone interested in woodburning.

This woodburning kit is of high quality. I've tried cheaper ones before, and they never quite worked for me. As I also own a laser engraver, I purchased this kit for touch-ups, especially in cases where a spot didn't darken as much as I wanted or if a letter was missed, which occasionally happens. This kit is excellent for those purposes. Although it comes at a higher price, when considering the accumulation of cheaper alternatives that often fail after a few uses, this one proves to be well worth the investment and more.
