Very accurate
Compared to a Mitutoyo, it was spot on the same reading. Would recommend for the garage mechanic

Accusize Industrial Tools Dial Indicator is Made to Standard Dimensions
This indicator is made to dimensions that work with stem clamps and standard contact tips. Specifically, the stem diameter is 0.375 inches which makes it compatible with most stem clamping holding fixtures. Also, the threads for the contact tip are 4-48 which is standard size. This was not the case with the first digital indicator (another brand, returned) I bought which was under size on the stem diameter and the contact tip threads were metric. It would not work with my fixture, so be sure the indicator you buy will work in your application.

Bezel needs work
Not bad for the price. The bezel is extremely tight, so tight it makes it almost unusable. I found instructions in the reviews of a WEN Indicator on how to disassemble and loosen the bezel. Made a huge difference.

Excellent
Excellent dial indicator

Great value, works perfectly
I needed a gauge like this on my lathe, and this works perfectly. The magnet allows me to re-position it easily, but is strong enough that it stays in place until I need to move it.

My first dial indicator
I bought this based on its reviews. Hopefully it's as accurate as it feels. I have no way to tell

Nice dial indicator.
It worked fine, The range is slightly more than 3", but don't think it is going to measure anything more than 20 or 30 thousandths. It is larger and heavier than my 0-1" dial indicator, but it fit in my magnetic holder just fine. It came in a cardboard box with a molded styrofoam insert. I decided that the styrofoam would not last a long time, so I made a wooden case for it.

Get one!
Great condition, checking it against other dial indicators suggests it’s accurate.

Arrived fast. Larger than I expected. The overall diameter is 60 mm. It's entirely metal. The mounting shaft fits a 9.5mm, 0.374" collet. The dial turns so you can zero it anywhere you want. The back has a strong mounting lug that has a 6.3mm, 0.250" hole. There's no flat back with this. The spring tension ranges from about 50 to 150 grams through the 1" range of travel. That's about double the spring strength of expensive digital gauges but obviously this is due to the entirely mechanical mechanism. When I received this unit, I ran around the company showing it off to the machinists and engineers. All said the same thing like "Wow, what a great deal!". Seriously, such a nice gauge for such a low price, I felt like I stole it. I can't speak about the overall linearity or the absolute accuracy. I have only used it for small relative measurements, mainly to check the flatness of my 3D printer bed. So far, it appears bang on. I'd buy ten of these if I had a use for that many.

I'm an HD field mechanic, and this indicator has been so freaking handy I can't offer enough praise. If you use a dial indicator more than 2 times in a month, this thing will pay for itself within the first use. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The magnetic back is so phenomenally handy omg. Rather than spending 2 minutes dicking around with the radius arms and tension knobs trying to position regular old indicators you can just slap this girl on and bam! Bob's your uncle (or aunt, no judgement here) and if you don't like the magnet, you can even spin it off and put this gauge on a regular stand. Now for the finer details: -The gauge assembly itself is of pretty decent construction, the division lines and numbers are clear, and large enough to see at a distance. -the glass and rotating bezel seem to be pretty solid, its surprisingly nice for the price. -the plunger is wicked. it's smooth, true, clean. And it's rotation is locked, so spinning on different tips or extensions is a piece of cake. I had never used any Accusize products before, but I can say with a fair amount of confidence that their going to be one of my go-to brands. If you see this product, and feel like you might like it, YOU WILL. I'm telling you, buy this thing. Thank you Accusize, you've made my days sooooooooooo much easier. Cheers, Kevin
