Equity 33100 Electric Silent Analog Alarm Clock with Lighted Dial

I bought this clock because all the other clocks I have are digital or battery operated. They either, need to be reset or they aren't affected by a power hiccup. This is a plug-in clock that will stop running for the duration that the electricity is off. If there is a ten minute or a three hour down time, it will lose that much time. We don't have that many electrical hiccups, but now I can know. It doesn't have a backup battery, but it has an alarm and a beautiful blue backlight that might be a little bright as a bedroom night light, so I put it in the bathroom, not the bedroom. The back light can be dimmed. It is pretty simple to operate. Just what I wanted.

I bought this clock because I needed one that plugged in so I can tell how long it's been when the power goes out! So far it's working great, keeps time accurately and the large numbers make it easy to read at a distance. It's also small and compact and silent. Not sure how the alarm/snooze feature works because I haven't needed to use it. The only negative that might affect some is that it has a fairly bright blue light that illuminates the clock face. It doesn't bother me because I keep the clock in a spare room, but I can see how it could bother someone at night if they kept it in a bedroom. Other than that, it's a great little clock!

After writing the review below I discovered a major failing with this no-quality-control product: after only working one time, the alarm function stopped working! This product deserves a minus rating. The alarm is faulty and the light is too bright to sleep with. My original review: This is a nice, small, electric analog alarm clock. Exactly what I wanted for my bedside. However, the face has a blue light which can be dimmed, but never loses the blue tinge completely. And even on the lowest setting it is still way too bright to sleep with. If you like having a bright night light in your bedroom, you'll like it. But it is really too bright for a bedroom. I have a very large bedroom and it lights up the entire room. What's worse, I just discovered that this product is not eligible for return or replacement! This is one of those products that if you don't like it, too bad The manufacturer does not believe in customer satisfaction.

keeps time, has a cord to the outlet (hate battery clocks) which is HARD to find in a simple small clock. It is lighted so easy to read at a distance and since it is in my kitchen not my bedroom, the constant light is helpful and not annoying. It is an inexpensive clock so worth the price and I've had it for several months and it is still working fine.

The mot annoying feature of this corded clock is its distorted face. There is a dark area at the top that makes reading from a distance difficult, like from my bed across the room. Is it eleven, twelve, or one o'clock? It is a brilliantly-lighted clock, casting a blueish light across the entire bedroom. But I like this because it serves as a sort of nightlight. The only other concern I have about this clock is setting the alarm. You really have to look at the clock-face carefully in order to do this. But, as corded-clocks are becoming rare these days, this one is as good as it gets.

This is a wonderful clock and the lighting that it provides is incredible and it is blue instead of the basic which backlight. I love that the numbers are big enough to see and that the alarm is really loud. Thank you all its great.

I looked all over the place, and this La Crosse clock may be the only remaining model of the cheap, motor-driven, 120V electric clock from my childhood. It does one thing that modern, electronic clocks can't do -- If you get home and the power is out, it answers the question, "When did the power go out?"The back light cannot be dialed down to zero brightness. It costs way more than it did when I was a kid. It is still as ugly as it was then. Just like the clocks from my childhood, it makes a little grinding noise, so I can't put it close to my bed.But it shows me how long the power was out, so I know if I need to toss the content of my fridge! It is adequate.

With digital tech surrounding us, the only way to know, for sure, how long the power was off is with this electric clock. When the power goes off, this clock stops! Perfect! The amount of time the clock is behind is the length of the power outage. It has a blue nightlight glow, an alarm and large, easy-to-read numbers. No battery backup on this useful clock!
