Roughly how much water does one of these cartridges filter before it needs changng? Thanks

I normally change the filter every month if you don’t the filter stops doing it job.

Are they suitable for hard water

I live in a hard water area and they seem fine.

. No instructions on soaking first. Do I need to soak them first

I don’t soak them, I run them under the tap and then put them into my filter. Then I fill up the jug and let the water run through, I throw this water away and I do this three times. After that I use the water, I don’t change my cartridges every month, I use the same cartridge for three months or sometimes longer. They still work!

Does this fit the sainsburys own brand water jug

There are different lengths of these filters. I had a Kenwood jug and needed the shorter version but they sent the longer one. I communicated with the company and with no quibble they sent me the correct version. I suggest you measure the length of your current one and contact the seller before purchase.
