Did not work for me
Item appears to be of high quality. The light is very bright and the rechargeable battery is a nice touch that allows the product to be used in any location, regardless of having an outlet nearby. I have no issue with the design or manufacturing. It just doesn't seem to provide any medical benefit.I have had trouble waking at 6 am since October when I started to experience debilitating fatigue. This is not normal for me, I wanted to try a more homeopathic solution before seeking medical attention. I used this light every morning while drinking my coffee, as instructed, at my kitchen island. I noticed no effects whatsoever. No increase in feeling more awake after using daily for 2 weeks. Perhaps I should have used it longer than 2 weeks, I’m not sure. In any case, I personally received no benefit from this product….I am giving it three stars, however, because it is a well-made product that might provide some benefit to others. It might could also be used in ways not intended: as a work light for close-up detail inspection of small items, etc.

Alarm sounds can't be disabled
Can't use light alarm without sounds at the same time.

Great brightness
The instructions were very very small print and almost impossible to read without a magnifying glass. I had to keep picking up the instructions and then putting them down so I would have two hands to operate the controls.I am still trying to figure out the timing of the light. I am determined to make this work. I don’t really need an alarm clock but I need the light with a timer and that increases like the sun coming up. I lived in Alaska for 24 years and I now struggle with SAD.

Blinded by the light
I don’t think it would be possible to print the directions any smaller. They must be in font size 2. Or 1. It makes it very difficult to read and find your place after you look away to adjust/set lamp. I find the wording distracting and confusing. I’ve read and reread portions and still not sure what it’s intending.I could set the time re hour and minutes but could not figure out how to switch from military time (24 hours). I consider myself fairly intelligent but even after 8 tries, rereading the instructions and working through them it was a no go.I like that you can charge this and it will keep working after unplugging so it is easy to move from room to room without it losing it’s settings. So, I tried setting alarm. Got the time set and accepted first option for sound (can’t remember what but it was melodic and soft). The alarm is supposed to work this way: I want up at 7:30, light starts to gradually increase starting from 7. Then, at 7:30, the melodic sound finishes waking you up.This morning, at 6:30, I was awakened by 3 beeping sounds which caused me to open my sleepy eyes only to be blinded by the light coming on at full strength. “Blinded by the light..” What a nightmare. It is a very bright, intense light. To turn off I had to grope blindly for the off/on button. Moral of story: Try setting it to come on while you’re awake and can see what you might need to do/change.The above was last week. I haven't had the courage to try it again. I may in the future but as I said the directions are hard to read. For now, I'll just use it without the alarm. If I get motivated to try it again I'll update. It is disappointing though as I really wanted it for a gradual wakeup.
