Tiki Cat Silver Variety Pack, Immune System Support Formulated for Older Cats Aged 11+, Senior Wet Cat Food, 2.4 oz. Can (12 Count)

I switched my senior cat 13 y.o. to this food to help her kidney function. She likes the food. Shipping was quick.

Background: My cat has IBD and CKD. She's been losing weight for a year. I believe her previous food caused this because her IBD may have been triggered by chicken, the food was low in calories, and all the calories were protein. I switched my cat to Tiki Cat Silver Tuna and Mackerel which has a more calories per can, good amount of fat, and lower phosphorus. The protein and phosphorus level is still too high for a cat with CKD, but good for healthy cats. I'm mixing in 1.5 Tbsp prescription kidney kibble (Purina Pro-Plan NF that she hated on its own), blended to powder. That adds more fat, some carbs, and less phosphorus to the mixture. She loves the mixture. It's a good ratio of protein, fat, and carbs. The prescription food also includes some form of "appetite enhancer". She's put on 1/2 pound in 2 weeks. I assume some of that is food in her intestines or water weight, but at least some of that is probably healthy weight gain.

My cat did seem to like these however she did not live to finish the Box.

What a waste of money! Disgusting product. I bought it for a cat with medical issues who loves the broth part of cans but he won’t even sniff this twice. Put it out for other cats and it’s still there. None of the cats will eat it.

Seemed like good quality but cat wouldn't eat it

My two senior cats liked this one the first couple of days I fed it to them, then in typical cat fashion, turned their nose up at it.

My cat he loves this so much. He usually stops eating his food about half way through a small can like this and makes me put some chicken jello in it before he'll finish or almost finish. This chicken and duck mousse disappeared almost immediately. I even looked around to see if he scooped it out and hid is somewhere but no he ate it all and was meowing at me to give him another one. So I did it and he ate almost all of the second can. For sure this food is a little bit less dense than his other wet cat foods so it's probably less filling but he sure does love it. It even looks good to me with the little bits of shreds on top. Kind of hard to get it out of the can and make it look the same way for him but it's sort of doable. I ordered this because Tiki Cat is generally low carbodrates and low phosphorus (although I don't know exact measures for this particular variety). I will bring it to his vet doctor next time to see if she approves it because he loves it so much I want to keep buying him more of it. I also like that it was formulated for senior cats.

My cat doesn't drink a lot of water and this food is shredded chicken which she loves and broth which gives her extra liquid. It also has some pumpkin in it which may help digestion. She loves it and she's pretty fussy.

For a variety pack, the flavours aren’t equally included. There were only 2 of the salmon chicken mousse, 4 of the tuna mackerel and the rest were chicken. It would have been nice to have an equal number of each flavour. I hope it agrees with my cats. One of the flavours has coconut oil in it which I’m not sure is appropriate for cats. To update after feeding to my 3 cats (two are 10 yrs and one is 13), all three loved this food. They gobbled up their dinners and licked their bowls clean. So I guess I’ll be buying this more often.

Cost a lot for 12 tiny cans

Cans are filled with liquid, food is definitely not like the images on each can. Cans aren’t even. My cat didn’t like eat any and I tried to the very last can. He isn’t picky neither, just like for him to try varieties. Waste of $40.

My older male cat (11yrs) is now eating 1-2 cans a day and after a month.. he is doing wonderful. I highly recommend this brand! Low phosphorus is great for them too.

Was not pleased that the variety there was Salmon&Chicken 2 Chicken 5 Tuna& Mackerel5 total 12 cans I should have been 3 of each kind When you reorder you will have more chicken
