Xeecom Aps Ventus W155 Weather Station Black/Beige

I wanted a new weather station after my old one stopped communicating with the outside sensor, so after quite a bit of searching and reading reviews I chose this one. The reviews are pretty accurate so make sure you read them. Yes it comes with a European plug and no adaptor, come on Amazon sort this out, I have an EU extension lead with a UK plug so actually not an issue for me but might be for some. The display is as mentioned hard to see from a distance but its not really designed for that. I have it on the bedside table, the display does fade out if you are looking at it from a low angle, seems to be a thing with LED displays? I found it quite easy to set up, but I needed to make my own bracket for the anemometer, you can secure it to a flat surface as long as the sail and wind speed indicator are not obstructed, but I would suggest buying the mounting bracket for it as well if you are not able to make your own. Calibrating it was quite easy but the built in compass was not brilliant so good old phone app to the rescue. I have not had it long so cannot say how it performs when it rains yet, also the weather forecasting bit, which shows clouds/rain etc seems to flash the icons all the time, not sure how that will be at night, hope it is not too annoying, Overall I am very pleased with it. Oh one last thing, the picture makes it look look bigger than it is, so do not expect a great big display to be sat on your bedside table...

This was just what I wanted and seemed to work perfectly well for first few days, then the wind direction, average wind speed and wind chill would suddenly all go blank on the monitor, then maybe 10 minutes later one, or two would come back. I waited a few days to see if this problem would settle, but it didn’t. So reluctantly I have had to ask for a refund. I would have replaced this but was not able to under the returns policy.

Bought this to replace an earlier weather station by Elecsa which gave up the ghost after about 5 years. The Ventus is nice but could be a bit bigger to make it easier to read. The LCD display is not very clear unless you view it from the right angle or illuminate it either by pressing the relevant button or having it connected to the mains all the time. The weather station works well in general but the wind speed indicator seems to have an intermittent fault in that it sometimes shows zero even when the wind is fairly strong. This seems to be after rain or snow, which makes me think that perhaps a small amount of water is getting inside. I did think of returning the item to Amazon but as it works most of the time I decided it would be too much hassle. I probably would go for a different model next time, although comparable ones tend to be more expensive.

Had one of these for years but the mast the outside fittings were attached to fell in high winds so had to find a replacement. After much research of similar products decided this meets my requirements and works well. I now can have 2 displays in the house linking to the external kit. As others have mentioned the power lead has a euro 2 pin plug and not a UK 3pin one but works ok with an adapter (shaver type). This kit set also comes with a separate thermometer unit so it can show temps from 2 external sites which is good.

This was purchased as a present for our son in law. He was very pleased to receive it and we think he uses it regularly

this is undoubtedly a good product if you have it by the side of your bed or PC so that it is no further than 30 cm away then you can see all the information. However place it in a room where you are 2 to 3 meters away then all that is visible is a blue glow, unfortunately this was not for me. I sent it back to amazon for a full refund....also beware that this item was supplied with a euro plug transformer and no UKadapter i had to buy one, approx £3, to find that the display was unreadable at a distance. All UK appliances sold must have a UK plug fitted or have an adapter supplied, plugs sockets regulations 1994.

Took quite a bit of time to get set up. Not sure that wind guage is !00% accurate. Quick delivery though.
