I don't think it matters. If I were you, I'd go to the Logitech website and make sure the features, which prompted you to purchase the Spotlight are the same.

In ppt, if you build slides, will the animation work with each successive click, or does it go directly to the next slide?

Yes, this works fantastic for clicking through animation (as well as advancing to the next slide when the animation is done).

It works as either RF with a provided USB dongle in the computer, or if you make the connection, wirelessly by bluetooth. Now, Apple has created over the years huge bluetooth problems, in which case the USB dongle saved the day. That one works flawlessly no matter what.
