Brilliant product — would recommend to anyone!
I bought this to replace the original (!) nut on my Rick-copy Ibanez bass bought in 1972, which was 'a little buzzy' for MANY years. Despite the obvious nervous time whilst removing the old nut and fitting this new one, all I can say is that it has TRANSFORMED the sound of my bass WITHOUT changing the inherent ‘tone’/‘sound’ of the instrument. No buzz whatever (unsurprisingly), and every note is now crisp and clear with all ‘fluff’ and ‘mush’ GONE FOREVER! I was astounded and amazed at the difference this humble little product has made; so much so that I reviewed the card it was supplied on and ticked off EVERY claim made by GraphTech. And I do mean EVERY claim. This has got to be THE very best value product I've ever bought for my bass: it has made nearly as much difference as when I changed to Thomastik-Infeld strings; or when I changed from using a (very expensive!) lead to using an AKG WMS40 wireless system (both of which I would also thoroughly recommend). So, if you are — as I was — wondering whether all the claims GraphTech make are true,THEY ARE! If you are — as I was — wondering about whether or not to buy one of these, DO IT. I promise you will NOT regret it! And no, I have no connection with GraphTech other than as a massively satisfied customer.

First time graphtech user
I have not use graphtech before. When i got this product i have to cut and sand it down to size. I probably ordered wrong size anyway. When i was doing the cutting and sanding i noticed that it feels and looks like plastic material. Is that supposed to be? I have always used bone so i cant really tell.

It's good, it wasn't exactly the size I needed, but you sand it like any other to fit. Bone is cheaper and better.
