Tickly Minibeast Adventures

Like Jess's other book this is an excellent way for our 2 year old grandson to start his journey learning about nature but is equally suitable for older children. He is fascinated about the insects he is able to find and spends hours chatting about his woodlouse hotel granddad made him following Jess's instructions. We're hoping Jess brings another book out soon to add to his collection.

My son loves both these books. They are educational but fun. Children often fear bugs and insects, but the books encourage them to explore the nature around them rather than feeling scared. The books are bright and colourful and easy for little ones to understand. We love the spider and butterfly 3D models too! Well done Jess!

My 6yr old is a huge fan of Jess and her to show so this book was a must. The info and pictures are perfect for children who can read a few words. My 6yr daughter loves it and my 3yr old has been looking too!

This is a wonderful and fun book about not only our back-garden mini beasts but also some exotic little creatures. Parent and child are taken through an exploration and investigation of spiders, woodlice and centipedes (to name a few – there are lots more!!) in a fun and interactive way – the book comes with a spider model allowing parent and child to interact together with every page.My favourite thing about this book is the educational value it holds coupled with its vibrant colours, fun and simple layout and variety of pictures. This book is more than just a bed time read, it comes out by day and it comes out at night. Throughout the book are a variety of day-time activity suggestions, for example finger print centipedes and even how to create a woodlouse hotel! The book also acts as a great way of developing children into using books for learning with a child friendly glossary and index.My son is four and absolutely loves this book. I very much expect it’s going to assist with many of our spring and summer mini-beast adventures.

Our 4 year old daughter absolutely loves the Minibeast TV series so we purchased this book along with Fluttering Minibeast Adventures for her forthcoming birthday. We are delighted with it and very excited to start our own Minibeast adventures with her. It is well written and the beautiful illustrations make it appealing for younger children. The pop up spider at the back of this book is a lovely added touch. We will be purchasing more copies as presents for friend's children.

I bought this as a 4th birthday present for my niece and she absolutely loves it. Beautifully written to excite and educate in equal measure and although aimed at younger children I found myself learning a few things too! Really looking forward to spending some time helping her with the activities and getting grubby on our own Minibeast adventures.
