This cleaver has style - it looks more impressive in person combined with looks and weight to it. Everyone who has seen this knife in my house is wow'd at it.The handle is well sanded and smooth - it feels comfortable to hold. It comes with a guard for the edge.Usage - it is a big chopper for bone, as per the listing, or smashing stuff. I broke down chicken thigh/legs with ease. The heft is more in the front of the knife, making it swing down easily and powerful. I don't have much control attempting it for vegetables (and it's not intended for that) and you want to ensure your fingers are out of range, this isn't a chef knife. But the size gives you better control than other beasty cleavers and looks cooler.

Beautifully crafted cleaver but it lacks the sharpness I anticipated. Very heavy and well balanced

We are looking for a knife to chop the chicken with and found this cleaver. It’s absolutely very heavy duty and high quality. It’s heavy and perfect for bone chopping purposes. Stainless steel material is also great for meat and food in general. It’s a great value for the price.

This is a very sharp and heavy cleaver. I am a vegan so I have not tried it on meat or bones (and never will) but it makes short work of chopping harder to cut vegetables like sweet potatoes, large cabbages and squashes. It seems very well made and I am quite happy with it.
