Good Read!
Good use of stories and short sections make reading easy. I'm still reading it and find it at time to be a bit repetitive, however I find the repetition to be helpful as I try to remember key points.

Great resource
Great book to have when working in any environment where you are going to be dealing with a multitude of personalities among co-workers. I have Strengths Finder 2.0 and Emotional Intelligence 2.0 which are also great books and was told by an instructor that this book might be of use to me in the workforce, so I bought it. It has great information and is very helpful, and will be a great tool to have to maintain an understanding of the people around you so you don't want to rip your hair out dealing with them. Highly recommend!

Love Daniel Goleman
I love studying EQ and teach an online course in the subject. He is my "go-to" source for most everything regarding this subject.

A perfect continuity for everyone who has read ''Emotional Intelligence'' by ...
A perfect continuity for everyone who has read ''Emotional Intelligence'' by the same author. If you are in the work force and holding a job, this knowledge will transform the way you understand ''working'' and will make you a happier worker. Amazing insights, backed up with scientific explanations but still easy and pleasant to read for a non-scientific mind.

Must really know our feelings in order to deal with them and keep our feelings from controlling us. A MUST READ
Last mother's day 2013 my son asked me about intelligence and I did not know what to say on the subject. After reading this book and his other books on Social Intelligence and his book on FOCUS (work place whichmay be applied to home) are all great books. These books and the books on 'LENS Neurofeedback' by Stephen Larson PhDHave helped me to become more relaxed around myself and others.. I actually had four Neurofeedback sessions to clear the cobwebs in the nervous system/brain; like getting rid of unnecessary clutter... calming down the nervous system.A tune-up I highly recommend. This helps PTSD, anxiety M.S. Parkinsons, etcPlease read my review on Daniel Goleman's book FOCUS. I have learned a great deal from his books

Too much repeated chapters with same point
This book of 382 pages can be written in 50/100 pages and kept me as a reader excited to keep reading.Chapters and chapters telling stories that E.I. is important in company x and the chapter after talking about the E.I is also important in Company Y.Like ok... I mean I agree with you, that's actually the reason I bought the book, to take me deeper in the topic not to read that it is important.

A new way to view emotions
I read in the forums about emotional inteligence and wanted to find out more about this. This book is the perfect start. It has two parts.First you find out what emotional inteligence is (but in a complex way) and in the second part you get examples how and when to use it.This book helped me a lot in the present to see how I feel but also made me see the past in a different way. A lot of moments where emotional ineligence played a big role and I didn't even noticed it.I deffenitely recommand this book to anyone. It is very usefull to know that we can do something about our emotiones even though sometimes we fell like we can't control them.
