Review: Grazie Nigel Poulton, continua così, a scrivere e a tenere aggiornati i tuoi preziosi libri su Docker. Review: I got the book yesterday, 3/23/24 and today I'm on chapter 8 out of 16. This book is that easy and simple to work through. I understand Docker more than I would have if I watched a YouTube video. Maybe this is just my learning preference, but again, Nigel makes it super simple to understand Docker concepts, from how images work, containers, and the similarities and differences between Docker containers and traditional VM's. The walkthroughs are clear, and each shell command has a clear output of what you should expect. All in all, this is a great resource to become a hero in Docker. If you really want to learn Docker and get a full overview of Docker, from 0 to 100, this book is for you.

My first comment on Amazon and this book deserves it. I really appreciate because the way it set up suits a lot and helps to quickly know where once is going. The beginning prepares and makes the end very easy to digest. Thanks a lot M. Poulton thank you.

I really like the way this book is written. It starts each section at a high level and then goes deeper as the author unpacks to subject. There are GH examples to fork and use for learning. There are a fair amount of typos but the content is well organised and easy to consume. There is, unfortunately, no index. The biggest weakness, for me personally, is lack of depth around deploying a set of containers out to a public server and configuring ingress. This is a very common use case for testing and reviewing - especially for DevOps. The Docker Stack section touches on the subject but not in enough depth to give me any confidence in what I read.
