They forgot about the wii!
First and foremost i was so dissappointed at this game,it has so much potenial but lacks in graphics and controls, certains times when your playing you can easily forget the buttons and mess up,next what the hell is up with that camera sometimes its good the other times it moves on its own,the enemies have that survival horror look and feel but just doesnt creep you out like silent hill or dead space, dont get me wrong alone in the dark has its moments and could have been something exciting but the real reason that it kills me so much is THEY FORGOT ABOUT THE WII!if you look at the ps3 version it makes the wii version look like they just tried to make the wii version watered down,i no that ps3 has HD but come on u didnt have to change up the game because of the HD quality, the game didnt need all of the HD quality to make it good its just needed its original gameplay to make it great, please if your going to get this game get it for ps3 to expierence it the way its suppose to be,sorry wii even tho i love this system, alone in the dark forgot about you!the sad part is that my game keeps freezing it did it 6 times already WTF!this game has defects come on!

Alone in the Dark??
What can I say about this game? It's a classic. Recently purchased to add to my collection. Overall, I feel the game is underrated but that's my opinion. I have enjoyed the series since the MS-DOS days back in 92 and have collected most of the ported versions since then. And for the price, right now is still a great time to buy it before it goes up! Alone in the Dark for the Wii is an excellent addition to any collection.

Alone in the Dark it' back
If you like the original on PSX the it's for you, the control system it's a littele weird, but with a time playing it's ok.UN interesante juego que mantiene la escencia del clásico eso si, trayéndolo a nuestros días, el sistema de control, sobre todo vehículos no es lo mejor que existe y toma trabajo acostumbrarse, pero con algo de tiempo te puedes acotumbrar.Recomendable para los que disfruten del género del survival horror.

I was alone and in the dark when I bought this.
I couldn't get past the first challenge, so I can't comment on the game too much except to say that it bears little resemblance to anything I've played (with any scintilla of enthusiasm at all) that calls itself ," Alone In The Dark".

Could have been spectacular, but marred by technical issues
The Alone in the Dark series goes back a long way (even pre-dating the Resident Evil franchise) in terms of pioneering the survival horror genre, with this new installment kind of being a re-boot for the series. Once again filling the shoes of paranormal investigator Edward Carnby, Alone in the Dark finds Carnby caught in the middle of an apocalyptic event while investigating strange happenings in Central Park. The first thing you'll notice is that Alone in the Dark boasts some wonderfully creepy and spooky environments that drip with eerie atmosphere. In fact, the areas are so well designed (even for the Wii version) that you'll often find yourself admiring your surroundings while dodging demons and beasts. The game looks good in general as well, despite a few graphical glitches that occur, while the game's solid score adds to the overall survival horror atmosphere. What's really sad about Alone in the Dark is that the game's potential to be something special is marred by technical issues. Namely, just moving around can be a chore. The control issues (particularly on the Wii) that present themselves during combat and puzzle solving only add layers of frustration to the game, which is a crying shame, and the game's schizophrenic camera doesn't help make matters any better either. Despite it's flaws, Alone in the Dark does present some innovation in terms of it's item inventory use and some dramatic moments that will jolt you out of your chair. The game's story is intriguing, and there are some great lighting effects too. All in all, Alone in the Dark is a worthwhile trip that could have been something truly great, but in the end is brought down thanks to it's technical issues. Still, for survival horror fans, Alone in the Dark is definitely worth a look.

Definitely Could've Been Better
This game looked amazing when it first came out, I wanted to buy it as soon as it did. Thankfully I waited a bit and only paid $20, which in my opinion is still a little much for this particular title. The graphics are certainly not as good as they could be. Fine I guess I could deal with that. An accurate way to describe this game is an interactive movie with puzzles. You can't make a wrong move. If you do, you die. Simple. What gets on my nerves are these little mini games that they added so you actually think you're doing something. They are simple puzzles in the sense of figuring out what to do but really frustrating. The controls are very difficult to get used to as well. Personally I get dizzy when it's required to move him in first person. And the gun use is not accurate at all. As long as you shoot in the zombie's general direction you should be good. But you do need to stop fighting, (and during this time you are getting attacked) take out the gun, switch to first-person, aim, and finally shoot. Not to mention how hard it is to drive the stupid cars with the Wii controls. The save points are another thing that kill me. It only saves at the most inconvenient moments. Right before the loooong cutscene, or right before a series of jumps you need to make before something falls on your head. And you can't save it on your own time. I don't even know why it has a save option in the menu.I know this is a rated M game, but the constant swearing annoys me. They are just trying to make this seem like a good game so people would buy it. It's not. Swearing or no swearing, stupid little puzzles or no puzzles, this is just not a good game.
