Evolved Midnight Coconut, No Sugar Added, Vegan, 2.3 Ounce (Pack of 8)

This is my favorite no added sugar chocolate bar. The coconut gives it all the sweetness it needs. It does get a bit crumbly but refrigerating would probably take care of that. I do wish the company would include some info about lead levels addressing the recent research on lead levels in dark chocolate.

I love Evolved and believe in the quality of their products. However, this specific post is for the older version of Midnight Coconut with shredded coconut mixed in the chocolate. I picked it intentionally because I liked that better than the new version. What I got was the newer version, chocolate filled with coconut cream. And it had been melted completely - the bars were just blocks in the bottom of the package that crumbled apart when you opened it. They tasted really old, unless that was just from being melted.

Not like the original...which is what I was expecting. But good. Coconut inside makes it creamy.

The little bit of coconut filling gives it a texture and super slight hint of sweetness...otherwise, this is clearly unsweetened chocolate. I don't want the sugar, and I find just a little bit satisfies my desire for chocolate. This bar fits the bill!
