Now that I'm older my pain tolerance isn't like it used to be. I used a different brand cream about a year ago to do a back piece that took a couple 2-hour and one 3-hour session. I did the first two hour with no Lidocaine cream and was in so much pain. Bought some cream for the next two sessions, and even after applying 2 hours before needle to skin and wrapping w clear, both times the effects wore off about an hour into each session.What caught my eye on this product was the LASTS 6 HOURS advertisement. I was hoping for a maximum of 3 hours. Did a under bicep piece today, about 9" from armpit to just past my inner elbow, about 6" wide, and some touch-up work to some older back pieces. Applied and wrapped exactly one hour before needle to skin.Touch-ups took an hour, didn't feel anything. Saved bicep for last, so now after two hours wrapped before needle...barely, and I mean barely, felt anything for the 1.5-2.0 hrs of the new work. Maybe a few spots of nerves or missed cream, but wow, this stuff works. I wasn't too sure just how big I was planning this piece to be, so I pretty much coated my whole bicep around. Still, 6 hours later, I couldn't feel my nail scratching the untouched top of my bicep. It's now 8 hrs later I'm still not feeling a pinch. Even after a shower. Crazy.

I have a connective tissue and bleeding disorder that causes me to bruise EXTREMELY easily. Unlike most people, when I get even the most minor bruise, the nerve pain that accompanies it is blindingly painful. Therefore, I'm always on the hunt for something to combat that pain.I was excited to find this 5% numbing cream as I didn't even know one could get this dosage without a prescription. The cream comes nicely packaged. The container includes a plastic inner cover to prevent the cream from getting all over the lid. The cream has a light scent and easily spreads.I didn't have to w it long to try the cream as I injured myself the very day it came in the mail. I put the cream around the bruise and while it didn't relieve ALL the pain (nothing ever does) I'd say it felt 80-85% better. At least I wasn't going to pass out. After a bit of rest, I was able to get up & walk again, which normally wouldn't happen for hours.For my purposes, I do wish the container was larger since I'll need the cream often, but for those who are using for tattoo prep, I think the amount will be sufficient. I highly recommend giving this cream a try!

I had a number of scars on my chest I wanted to coverup…some of them had were deep and could be painful. I went looking for a product to help with some numbing (I didn’t expect a lot of relief). This cream out performed my expectations. My tattoo is rather large, 12 inches by 6 inches. The outline was completed in about 2 hours and I had no pain. I was also able to fall asleep about an hour after having it completed, with no burning, tightness or irritation. This stuff is excellent. It is also great for burns (sunburn, kitchen burns etc) and insect stings. I plan to keep it to use for all kinds of life’s little mishaps.

It works if you do it right. To test it first, I put some on, not too thick, wrapped it and set a time for 45 minutes. Nothing. Added another 15 minutes, still nothing. Wasn’t bomb- not even a little. So I put it on a different spot. Applied it pretty thick. Wrapped it and 45 minutes later, it worked. It’s numb alright. It works real good! Now I can enjoy my next calf tattoo. Highly recommend. And- PUT IT ON THICK & WRAP IT.

I TCA peel my face from time to time and have tried many numbing creams, first from Walmart, then Ebay, and none did a great job. It was time for another peel so I looked up numbing creams on Amazon, and saw THIS one for tattoos, 5% strength. I used it for the first time yesterday and was astonished how quickly it numbed my skin, and how long-lasting it was too. HIGHLY recommend!

I got the cream in the mail and the next day used it before I got my tattoo the next day. I rubbed cream on my arm, wrapped it for an hour and wiped off the access cream and I was good to go. I sat for 2 and a half hours and didn’t feel a thing. This worked super good! Definitely recommend buying it.

I loved this product so much because it works. I applied it two hours before getting my tats and again a hour before . But my skin was already pretty numb a hour in but I still added more. I got four tattoos and all of them were painless. Just the arm one I felt a bit of poking but probably nothing compared to what I would’ve felt . Buy it .

This is the best bang for your buck, double the volume of most of the numbing creams being sold and it works! No adverse affects even though I have sensitive skin. The best numbing effects lasted me about 2.5 hours, but still significantly dulled the process of getting two large tattoos on the sides of my neck, all in one session. No significant pain or swelling after it wore off either, which I was nervous about!
