Moto Head Razor

Using this now for over 4 years! A fantastic product and so easy to use. No cuts, no nicks, and so much smooth that an electric.

This is a really good head shaver and gives a smooth result with very little effort. I do not actually use it the way it is intended to be used, but it still works well and feels comfortable to handle. The design makes it quick and convenient, especially for regular maintenance. The only downside is that my first one did break after a while, so I had to buy a replacement. Even with that issue, the performance is good enough that I still went and purchased another because it works better for me than most alternatives. Overall, a solid shaver with great results, just something to keep in mind about durability.

The shaver body is perfect it's possible to shaves yourself easily, the feeling is good to use and controlled and because of how you hold bu design it never feels like it's slipping or I have lost control in use . I use the higher blade 6 razor because it's just better less passes needed but I have used the 4 without issue as well. The ball in the designs helps it to glide over the head with ease and reduce chances of irritation. The cost is obviously more than some alternatives but this product works. I will also say I run hair clippers through my hair of gets bit long first before I use this so I dont know how good is when the hair is too long so worth considering.

To be honest I wasnt really expecting much at this prive point but have to say this is a great bit of kit. Its compact, light and really quick and easy to use. I ordered a refil pack of the 6 bladed blades and have only used it with these. I have found it gives a really close and smooth shave and have yet to nick the skin. Replacing blades could work out expensive if you were using it every day. An excellent minimalist tool - great for travel.

However, while it makes the back of the head a breeze to navigate, it has a few distinct design quirks and durability issues that keep it from being a flawless 5-star tool. ​The Good: ​Excellent Ergonomics: The dual-axis suspension and the little rubber finger loop give you a really intuitive feel for the contours of your scalp. It follows the natural curve of your head beautifully, especially over the crown and around the ears. ​Brilliant for the Blind Spots: Shaving the back of your head by feel can be a nightmare with a traditional face razor. The Moto shines here because the front axle wheel keeps the blade flat against your skin, massively reducing the risk of nicks or missed patches on the areas you can’t see. ​Unique "Lean" Mechanism: The way the body pivots allows the blade to lean into turns smoothly, maintaining constant contact with the skin without requiring you to apply awkward wrist pressure. ​The Not-So-Good: ​Fragile Plastic Body: For a tool that gets daily use in a wet environment, the plastic body feels a bit lightweight and brittle. If it slips out of your soapy hands and hits the hard tiles of a shower floor, there’s a very high chance the plastic arms or the wheel axle will snap. ​The Learning Curve: If you have spent years using a standard cartridge razor or a safety razor, your muscle memory will fight you on this for the first few shaves. It requires a completely different pulling motion, and if you lift the back of the unit up by accident, the blade angles out and can scrape rather than shave. ​Proprietary Blade Costs: It uses HeadBlade's own HB4 or HB6 cartridge refills. While they perform decently, they clog up quite quickly if you have a couple of days of thick growth, and buying the replacements can work out noticeably more expensive than standard supermarket cartridges over the course of a year. ​Final Verdict: It’s a classic 3-star product—brilliant in theory and highly functional once you master the technique, but let down slightly by build quality and ongoing running costs. It’s a great gadget if you want to speed up your routine, but you need to handle it with a bit of care in the bathroom!
