Works decent, but one head keeps drooping down
The lights themselves work just fine. Easy to install, and I've been using it for a month still on the original bulbs, so I'm hoping to get a decent life out of them. They throw out a lot of light, and I like that the light goes in two directions instead of just one 300w type. The only problem is that on one of the heads (I have two units, so four heads total), the adjustment screw doesn't tighten all the way, and the head keeps drooping down. I fixed it with a small piece of metal strapping (the kind used to hold up water heaters), which works fine, but less than ideal.

Great lights, poor bulbs
I ordered three of these to light the back of my house. Within four months, with only being on for 10-15 minutes a day, two of the bulbs have quit working. When I opened the cover to replace the bulbs, the ceramic ends of the bulbs had broken and crumbled into small pieces. I ended up buying some 130 volt, rough service rated, T3 bulbs from a big box store and installed them. We will see how long the replacement bulbs last. I will probably be ordering more of these light fixtures, but I will probably replace the bulbs before i install them to keep from having to climb back up several months later to replace the bulbs.

I have five of these on my home now - some wall mounted some eave mounted. Some have been up for nearly 10 years with no electrical problems, no rusting and minimal paint fade. They provide a good amount of semi-focused flood lighting which can illuminate large spaces very well. Two points of caution when using these - make sure you put something under the area where you are working when you are changing bulbs - especially if you are up on a ladder. Its real easy to drop and lose one of the bulb cover screws. Second, make sure you look inside the lamp housing and read the warning on the reflector which says " insert bulb this side first ". That side of the bulb connector is spring loaded and will allow you to insert the other end of the bulb without cracking it. If you insert the bulb in reverse, you stand a fair chance of either breaking the bulb or cracking its seal which takes a definite toll on bulb longevity.

This one works halfway
Since I have had this item, I have continually blown bulbs on the right side of the unit. Regardless of the cost of the replacement bulb, they all blow - just on one side. There is a defect in the contact spring assembly that retains the bulb and I think this is why the right side keeps going out. The left side contact spring is tight and does not burn out bulbs.

Inexpensive, Yet Effective Outdoor Halogen Lights
The installation was a breeze. The new halogen lights now light up our driveway in a light that can almost be characterized as "daylight." You will need to know what you're doing to install this though as it requires, as with all modern lighting, a grounded connection. Nonetheless, the lights worked upon the first installation and work well weeks later. Also, requires sealing the junction box as it is an outdoor light and should be weather sealed. The kit does not include the junction box and thus requires that you buy one if your current light does not have one. I would recommend this product if you're handy and confident enough to do straightforward wiring. Will check in in several months after it has weathered the winter here in New England.

Good. Diagonal mount holes so be prepared.
As expected. The mounting holes were probably standard for a new house but my holes aligned vertically and these were diagonal. Still mounted ok but a had to get a little creative with positioning the lamps. Looks ok but now as good as a straight horizontal mount would have looked.

Lights are smaller than I had thought. had to hang it awkwardly since the base does not adjust so we were unable to face both lights how we would have like to. but it does the job.

Functions nicely.
Functions nicely for it's designed purpose. The only drawback is that I felt like it does not really seal up well against the weather. I suppose it's normal for people to follow up with some sealant caulk where wet weather is expected.
