The Neighborhoods of Christiansted: St. Croix 1910-1960 Hardcover – June 29, 2009

I was born and raised on STX and my family has lived there forever, but eons ago I moved away. It's always gratifying and interesting to read about the people and the place and Karen Thurland does an excellent job writing about the locals, many of whom I remember. Other books describe well the lives of the landed gentry, but this one depicts Everyman living their lives and making their mark on others and society in general; it's what differentiates it from the others. I highly recommend it.

..SO I CAN'T "REVIEW IT". Would like to have it tho-. I lived in C'sted, St. Crois for 18 yrs. I think I would rate it w/5 stars.

This is a very enjoyable compilation of local memories, which will be of invaluable interest to all people who want to look into Christiansted, St. Croix's past.
